Our COPR when "completed" by the BSO @ the POE, becomes our Record of Landing. It also includes an Interview by him/her - which is placed on their system; though we may not know/understand that an interview was conducted, most of the time.

Hi Qorax
On your landing documents checklist, there is PRC application form too. Is that needed? I hear they just put your address into the system and that will do.

Thanks...

Hi Qorax,
Is it advisable to give safehomestay address as the one for PR card at POE?
Basically I am booked there for one month.
Would you suppose waiting till I get my own address i.e. telling the IO that I am looking for an apartment would be a better idea instead?
I value your suggestion.
Thanks for your time and consideration.
Deeply appreciated.

Hi,

Over this thread I've intimated many a times that the PRC application isn't required (I did it though). It'll be done automatically by the BSO @ the POE as soon as u provide him/her a Canadian address.

My bad.

Safehomestay address is perfectly fine - sans their name (swapped with yours).

The monthly rates are CAD 1150.
They also have weekly and daily rates

You have to pay in cash as you check in
No advance payment needed

Once we are back, how long it will take to get the travel document at new delhi or in india ?

I might need to travel back end of Oct on official assignment.

If it's possible, I'd always advise everyone to stay put in Canada till u obtain the PRC. That card is one of the most important (in fact - the most imp) & everything else is passé - comes later.

However, if u can't - at all... Go back, if u like & reEnter with a PRTD. How much time that'd take to obtain at a local CHC - beats me... I'm, unfortunately, unaware of.

Regrets.

Ps.: Thanks for communicating in Kanada - it sure feels nice. But am not from Karnataka, so couldn't get it. But, the effort is appreciated. Speaking one's m/tongue is a fab way of clicking, anywhere! I love to do that, everywhere!
