U've got three [3] options:
1. Exit/entry vide a foreign trip... probably homeland's.
2. Perform 'flag-polling'.
3. Get an appointment from a CIC office [wait times r currently over 6-8 weeks].

1. They'd change the address alright - but your VO wouldn't change... especially  @  this stage.
2. There could be some additional delay.
3. How do u propose to submit the pps from India [to London]?

Qorax

THANKS QORAX.
I WILL SEND THE PASSPORTS TO LON VO FROM INDIA AS I WOULD HAVE DONE /SENT FR OMAN VIA COUIER. WHAT U SAY?
ALSO, PLS GUIDE-IF I CHANGE MY LOCATION AND DOESNT WORK /GET EMPLOYED |(AS IT WILL BE FR JUST FEW MONTHS IF AT ALL I GO FOR JOB),WILL THIS MEAN ANY DIFF TO MY APPLICATION?
WHAT U SUGGEST HOW CAN I GET THIS QUERY CONFIRMED?

Hi

I am currently on a PGWP in toronto awaiting the return of my passport with the FSW PR Visa Stamp.

Due to various reasons travelling to the US and Flag-poling are out of the question.

Tickets to a forign locale are expensive as well (atleast 500 CAD)

I was thinking about calling the CIC call center and scheduling an appointment now even before I get my passport back. Would that work? It will save me a few weeks

Also do I have to provide foriegn bank statements as POF or will pay-stubs from my employer suffice?

Thanks

Hi Qorax,

One more question pls. If it ony contains clothes, shoes and books is it also taxable?
I just want to double check coz i was able to contact cargo service here in Dubai and said that the said items we will not pay taxes and if ever there is a tax it will only cost around AED50.

Thanks.

The goods will be lodged in a 'customs Bonded Warehouse' from where the 'clearing agent' will have to fetch it. Most likely your shippers will contact your friend to either accompany them to the customs for clearing it, or ask him to pay-up [the duties].

In that eventuality... he could just await for your arrival & then get the stuff collected, vide the stamped B4. Or pay-up, which is claimable later... but after some real inconveniences.

Your call, buddy.

No. Usually they wouldn't. VO change is done only under system integrity reasons. We cannot request it.
U'd have to find another way to send the pps to London, from India. That's thru a personal friend/relative carrying it.

To those who:
are already in Canad (close to Toronto)
want to land soon
do not have a valid US visa and do not like to go to the US border and get a refusal slip (flag-polling)

You can MOST PROBABLY go to Fort Erie, Peace Bridge, make a U-Turn just before the bridge, where the sign says return to Canada, and do the landing process (Most probably means I do not guarantee but I am 96.3% sure that there will be no problem.)

This was what I did on July 9th, 2011. Nobody made any objection. The officer was a bit tough about proof of fund. Although I showed her a letter from my supervisor, she still required other documents. She eventually accepted my bank statement and copy of pay stubs.
