Hi All,

I am planning to land Edmonton in coming months as new immigrat on FSW but the best airline connection (price + schedule, any other suggesstions are welcome) available is via Montreal (Lahore - Doha - Montreal - Edmonton) on Qatar airways. In this case, my first port of landing in Canada will be Montreal(Quebec), I"ll take Air Canada for Edmonton from there. As per my understanding, I can land in Montreal if I have proof of further travelling and I have to handover the lists of "Goods accompanied" and "Goods to Follow" in Montreal.

My questions is, do I need to complete other documentation such as POF etc as "Record of Landing" in Montreal or it will be done in Edmonton?

Thanks in adnavce for the help.

Regards,
Jaji

All landing activities will be completed in Montreal since this is your first point of entry into Canada. Make sure you leave enough time between your flight landing Montreal and your flight to Edmonton taking off in case there are line ups at immigration. At an absolute minimum - you should have two hours between these two flights to complete landing activities. However it would be better to have four hours on the ground between these two flights.

You will take a local flight from Montreal- and land locally at Edmonton and you may not land on an international airport, you must go through immigration at Montreal and once you do so, yo have to complete your landing. landing at Montreal will not do any harm to your landing as the immigration officer will check the docs and enter some details in computer so no issue. Thus, you must land at Montreal.

Jaji bha g, itni lambi flight yar take Etihad straight to Toronto or Emirates to Edmonton or Air Canada from AXB or AUH. Save time and less hassle. This may cost you less money compared to coming international to local ticket might cost you more.
