Thx for the response. My question was, were you physically in Canada or in US when you received the PR card?

Actually the card was received at my friend's address in Canada (and by this time I moved to Canada but not living with my friend). He then mailed it to me where I am living in Canada.

So how did you re-enter Canada. i.e what document did you use while entering for the second time?

I just used Confirmation of Permanent Residence. I re-entered by road while driving my own car.
