Hi, I will be receiving my passport back sometime this week (with my pr visa)

I applied originally under arranged employment but were laid off, I then changed it to the skilled list.

I don't have the nessesary amount of proof of funds. I recently started working again under a open work permit. Would it be okay to show then a letter a the border from the the employer that they would offer me a full time job after I get my PR, does it need to come with a contract,

Will the immigration officer accept this

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Nope, you have to show proof of funds.  A letter won't cut, when you receive a visa under FSW1
