Hi Guys,

I am planning to land on 28th of September.
I have a slight confusion with carrying funds. Seniors can you please help.

As i would be going with my wife, i need to show 13500 CAD while landing. Can i carry a Bank Draft of 9500 CAD and rest in form of Cash. In this case
do i need to declare the amount at port of entry. I know that we need to Declare if funds are above 10,000 CAD. But i have 9500 CAD in my name and rest 4000 can be carried as cash by my wife . Will this work? I am not sure if declaring would create any complications.

Thanks

No cause for alarm, Just take what ever and in which ever form, and declare it (Over Canadian $10,000)
As long as you declare you will not be doing anything wrong.
