Hi guys, I landed in Canada 3 weeks ago.
I drove to the Canadian border, showed my papers and it took about half an hour to complete the process. I had no difficulties, I imported my car as well. I had the goods and goods to follow all filled out - 2 copies.
I have been here in Toronto (Mississauga) 3 weeks now and I have to say it is very similar to US. Of course some differences. It is a different country.
But so far my experience has been a good one with almost no difficulties.
I was able to get my social insurance number, drivers license, cell phone, bank account right away. Government agencies and people are very friendly.
