Hello my dear friends,

Today I applied for SIN card at Yonge street. It was smooth, they just asked for ppt and COPR copy and in few minutes I got the letter stating my SIN number and told that I will get my SIN card in next 2 weeks.

For the local transportation, I brought a TTC weekly pass at $36 which starts from Mon to Sun. I found the rule to be strange but since I was losing only a day (Mon), so didnt bother much.

I lost ways couple of times while using subways, but it was adventurous for me. I got to know various ways to find a location. The people are very helpful in telling you the ways. One lady herself offered to help when she saw me bit confused while standing at the subway.

I went to Peanut plaza to buy from grocessories and while coming back lost my way, but since I had weekly pass, ultimately I found my way back to guest house. While walking down the roads, I found couple of rentals ad and would call them to schedule a viewing of the property.

It may be too early to say but I liked the area of Don mill street, it seemed to be convenient. Tomorrow I plan to make some viewing of the properties and will keep you guys informed.

Hello all, I have safely and happily landed in Toronto on 25 October 2010. The journey and landing process was quite smooth. Will update in detail later. I wish to say big thank you to all members who have posted very useful information on this forum which has made my landing experience quite peaceful. A special thank you to Dutta (Qurax) and hope to see you soon in person. I am presently staying in Safehomestay which is quite comfortable. Both Thomas and Carol are lovely people, but not elderly as I read somewhere before. From tomorrow I will begin my other application process for other formalities and will advise of some points which I believe may be of interests to you. Wishing you all a very good luck.

Abhay
