Landed, but no PR cards for us - still waiting ...

Hi, we landed and had our landing records on Aug 11th, but still have not received our PRC. We heard that the process may take about 1 month. So, I have questions about this since We are worrying a bit now.

Is PRC a part of immigration process? Which mean we dont need to apply for one? Moreover, my brother who landed inside Canada (at local CIC office), does he need to apply for PRC or he is just as good as us landed at Canada airport?

Please give us some advice. Thank you very much.

The processing time for PR cards is 48 BUSINESS days (i.e. just under 10 weeks). So there's no way you would have yours a month after landing. You likely have another month (possibly more) to wait. See timelines here:

PRC is part of the immigration process and you do not need to apply for one separately (the application was automatic when you landed). Same applies to your brother who landed within Canada.

Unfortunately all you can do is wait.

I landed on 1st week of august and still waiting for my card. I called cic today to make sure the address they have is right because they made a mistake on COPR which i asked IO to correct it at the time of landing, so they told me that your file still sitting here and we will start working on your PRC around 20th of October   so call later ...LOL and by the way she was veryyyyy rude

same here, i called yesterdayand cic told me the deadline is around late 14 Oct so may be u will get ur card till 20 Oct .... I dont think so that Cic call center can access to up to date information so it depends to  our luck when to get it ...

Luck has nothing to do with it.  CIC has posted it takes 48 business days.  So you wait 48 business days.
