Good Afternoon,

I am done with my SRS AINP forms and struggling with two things:

1. My current designation (as per documents submitted to USCIS)
2. Copy of Labor

I came here on H1 and my employer gave me a copy of LCA which bears my designation as "Programmer / Analyst". However, I got my H1 transferred last year and my employer DID NOT give me a copy of LCA. Hence I am confused as to what is my designation with my current employer as per USCIS. Please note that they gave me a designation on the Letter (which may or not match with what they submitted to USCIS).

Is there a way for me to find this information out ? I have been struggling with my employer's attorney and he is not responding. My application is stuck just for this.

I am not sure but it should be the same "Programmer / Analyst". It is always good to have the latest LCA with you, but if you dont have it and if your employer is ready to give you a letter with the designation(Programmer / Analyst) and the duties on the company letterhead then you dont need LCA. Apply as soon as possible.

"A copy of any document(s) from your current U.S. employer demonstrating your current job title, the main duties of your job, and the education and work experience necessary to do the job. The document(s) must be one or more of the following: job offer letter(s), employment contract(s), reference letter(s), and/or requests/petitions to USCIS for your U.S. visa.The document(s) must be on company letterhead"

I have got the experience letter from my ex-employer in US. Based on your advice, I will take an experience letter from my current employer for the Programmar / Analyst title and type in the job responsibilities mentioned in the HRSDC website for Programmar.

Rao, by any chance, do you have a sample experience letter that I can use. I am planning to use the job responsibilities purely mentinoed on the HRSDC website.

Yes use the job responsibilities from the NOC code that fits Ur profile. I do not have any sample experience letter but ur employer can give U, if can provide them ur job responsibilities u needed.

Rao, My designation on my LCA is Programmer Analyst where as I am working as Server Administrator and would want to look for a similar job in Alberta. Is it safe to apply as "Programmer Analyst" (as most of the employers file Labor as P/A) and then look for a job in my field/interest ?

Yes you can apply as a "Programmer Analyst" and look for a job in your field, but your job responsibilities should match with one of the NOC .

Actually I went through this but here AINP sounds contradictory to CIC. In my previous application under FSW, I did not pay much attention on writing the words that CIC was looking for. I wrote my Job description from my resume which contained latest technologies and expousre I had. However, these words fail to match with CIC and they rejected the application.

Hence, I am being very particular on what I should write. The experience letter that I requested my previous US employer contains the exact copy of the Programmer / Analyst Job description on HRSDC website and is no way near to what I am doing right now.

Hence the question comes "Is it safe to description of Programmer /Analyst posted on HRSDC in my experience letter?" The HRSDC website says the following job description for P/A":
Write, modify, integrate and test software code
Maintain existing computer programs by making modifications as required
Identify and communicate technical problems, processes and solutions
Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software
Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements
Assist in the development of logical and physical specifications
May lead and co-ordinate teams of computer programmers
May research and evaluate a variety of software products.

Yes i think you should be Okay because Alberta makes decision on your application not CIC.
