hi there to you all.
looks like I missed something so dont get surprised if this message apears twice...

I have a last minute question.

about our funds.
we have more than enough in euro currency, and we asked the bank for our bank transactions

the doc have only my wife´s name althout the account is from both us (hope ther is no problem here)

also... it is necesary to translate the doc to english... it is mainly numbers ...
dont want to be paranoid but... looks like absurd to me. as they surely ar going to ask me for this proof again if
they say yes to my application..

Yes you have to translate it no matter what.
And if you want to save the trouble (and money) of translating lots of pages (don't know what you asked from your bank) then get a bank certification letter.
I asked one from my bank, they stated: bank account no., beneficiaries, the amount, date, signed by supervisor and director of the bank and they stated that the amount we have in euro is unencumbered and transferable at any time to any currency. That was half a page letter and this I sent for translation.

i don't think so that a bank statement needs to be translated in english if its clearly showing money in euros. Never heard before that a bank statement was translated in english

thanks

If your Bank statement in French language then no need to translate, but if its not in French you have to translate it, I send some documents which is in Italian and I translated in English by translators, documents should be in French or english only accepted by VO.

Yep, as omm said...no need if your statement is in english or french.
At my bank for example my records are in Greek. Okay, one solution is to print it through my e-banking in English but then the supervisor of the bank wouldn't sign it or put the bank's stamp on it (same probably in other countries, their policy does not allow them to stamp a letter that is not written in the official language of the country).
To appear as more official I preferred to ask for a letter from my bank, signed and stamped both by the supervisor and the director of the bank and to translate it.
