Soso: the cic website indicates that once he has rcvd his pr card, he can use that to er-enter the country at his pleasure. to retain his pr status he must remain in the country for a total of 730days within the first 5 years he has received his card. he's free to travel as he sees fit once he remembers the numerical guidelines/conditions. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5445EA.aspI have 2 questions..... Soso: to qualify for citizenship, hubby has to be in canada for 1095 days within a 4 year period. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/become-eligibility.aspchildren do not need to meet this timeline for qualification. just saw a posting that mrs sam and her hubby got the call to pick up his passport. those forums have also been moved to a different site and are now active again. all members have to re-register and then begin anew. hopefully, every1 will be able to reconnect with the ppl that they've formed bonds with and continue the process that was in place before. Girl, Have you been sleeping all day?!?! I was downtown today and it started pouring at 4ish!!! lol I feel bad for A Yardie though. That is the only person on the new thread with her so far!!! lol Glo, So it sounds like he just had an exclusion order like precious!! That is great!! I hope it works out for you soon! Sassy - As far as I'm concerned, that 'virus' can keep that thread all to herself!! She can used the reply button to converse with her other personalities and debate on who is the craziest of them all

so the party went real well this weekend - hubby loved meeting everyone and is so happy and feels blessed.
hubby got a job today YAY - actually he got 2 jobs but is only taking one... he got a job with UPS and another at a welding shop. He got the job with UPS on Friday and he started today but during his orientation he got a call from a welding shop so he left UPS (which was at jane and steeles - super far) and went strait to the welding shop who put him to work right away 8 hours a day and the shop is 20 min from our house so he is soooooooooo happy. He was only going to do the UPS until he found something in a welding shop but he lucked out and got a call today! I am soooo happy for him - he feels so good. I am super proud of him and his determination.
I still have not had a chance to go with him to get his health card so we will have to do that some time this week. I am still concerned about him proving his address.
Frequent or anyone else whos hubby or wife has landed can you please let me know what I have to have to prove residential address?
Soso - you must be so happy right now .. 48 hours till hubby is home in your arms!
