HELLO FORUM
Just browsing the updates WELL DONE BUTTERFLY10 glad to know someone got a call today yur one of the lucky ones to have such a quick timeline
SANCHESTER you made me laugh with the "regurgitate" I guess unless your timeline is anywhere around 15 months they just tell you to wait but you should be glad your meds received is not off i think thats a good sign (although you never know with ECAS) confusing?? LADYPOSH I dont know if its a good idea to get MP involved but in my case I had no choice they had 2 dates for receiving our application then with that realised documents/meds misplaced so I'm glad we know instead of waiting for a PP call my MP said would usually have to wait for 15 months but because the meds were questioned?? LETS BE POSITIVE & HOPE IT WILL BLAZE UP DEM BAXSIDE FI REAL
YARDIEMY My sympathies I will advise to just get them done they always seem to have the upperhand my hubby done his meds in Mandeville didnt know it made any difference aslong as designated
Anyway with all this carry on I'm just looking to renew my PP so can fly out for the long easter weekend

Hi Forum Family!
Thanks to all for your kind words and advices.
I wish I had the money to give to my hubby so he has the med redone where ever they want but it's not the case. I just paid one last week :| and I still have to help him so he can go to KG this week and get the police certificate redone...
I called my MP this morning to know what's really ging on with KG. She couldn't beleive KG called to say that the med redo was not valid and didn't do any reason but it had to be done in KG at the Oxford Medical Center. She is sooo tired of them doing everything their way and get our files messed up! She put an emergency request and should have an answer by tomorrow. I'm crossing my fingers that all of this is just a bad dream.
I also called the telecenter to know if my situation is possible and if they heard anything like that before. They immediately transferd my call to the complain departement. The lady was really nice and told me we should report that kind of situation to them so they have material to be able to take action against KG office. She also recomend that I adress an official complain in written to the minister and the KG office. So that's what I did...from the day we filed to today I wrote about all that went wrong with our file. It's like 3 pages long! lol Now I just have to wait and see what it does. Worst case, they will say that we have to redo the meds for a third time... but I really hope that it will get things to move!
Oh and I have a question... anyone knows how much is the police certificate redo if we want it express??? I don't remember and I want to tell hubby to budget it...

Hello Forum Family,
Congratulations Butterfly10 that is great news...I am right behind ya.
Yardie: So sorry for your long wait although be blessed that you have come this far already, and your almost finished this waiting game.
Rush for Police Certificate is approx 2000 JMD it would be no more than 2500 JMD. Also remember that there are long line ups now because of the new system:
1) pay for Police Certificate at one location 2) then bring receipt to DUKE street 3) when you get to DUKE street office, there could be a long wait outside, along with another long wait inside 4) once you get finger prints etc, then you have to go back wait again at an alloted time, to pick up your passport.
Honestly, this was the longest wait ever, it took my husband and I one whole day to do the criminal record check....GO EARLY!
On another Note:
What is up with KINGSTON? *ecas*
I checked end of Jan it stated Medicals received.
Checked the following week, that statement was removed
Today, states MEDICALS RECEIVED?
Does anyone have any idea what they are doing in Kingston? I hope more peeps get some calls this week. I am constantly looking on the website as they only update quarterly for the Stage 2 Processing.
Cmon' next who is going to be next this week.....
Good Nite All

Good morning everyone YardieMy, the express PCC is J$2000.00. Tell him to make sure he goes early! I cannot stress that enough. He has to be at NCB South Tower on Oxford Road as soon as the doors open, and then make sure he gets a taxi downtown to Duke Street. The line up starts at 6:30-7:00 a.m. It will take 5 business days for him to get it back. Also, I think you definitely need to complain and alert someone to the fact that KG is making its own rules and conditions now. I think it is utterly ridiculous, and I have NEVER heard of anyone being told they have to use a specific DMP for re-medical. In your shoes, I wouldn't even want to be told that because I live right down the road from a DMP, I would not take kindly to being told I need to go somewhere else I have to pay taxi fare to get to when there is one that close to me, much less to be in Trelawny and be told I have to go to Kingston! You guys are not made of money, that is total rubbish. Gbw, safe travels and happy landing!! So happy for you. Remember we need a landing story. Soanxious, hold the faith, still saying prayers on your behalf, that call will come! Congrats Mr. Nae, put up that card safe! Quick laugh for today: There was an exhibitionist who was taking a trip on an airplane. At the top of the stairs there was a stewardess who was collecting tickets. So when the man got to the top of the stairs, he opened his coat and exposed himself. The stewardess said, "I'm sorry sir. You have to show your ticket here, not your stub." Happy Hump Day everyone!
