nae... almost the big day eh?  

for the rum cream... i personally like the flavoured ones (ripe banana is my fav), and they aren't available in the LCBO... i've brought back 3 bottles without issue and claimed it(was in my hand so i couldn't really lie, and i'm just not good at lying anyways! ), some say rum cream isn't included because it's made in Jamaica, not sure how true that is... i think if you're honest and go over the limit by a little bit, they'd really just be looking to get you by sending you to duty... if you're bringing a case or two back, be prepared to pay... a couple bottles over *usually* isn't a huge issue... just tell him to be honest and have a few bucks on him just in case he gets a hard a$$

good luck to him, he must be so excited... and of course we know you are! ... hope you have his warm clothes ready! (after living in the UK, my hubby had as much warm clothes as any of us, so he was set, i'm glad we didn't have to do all that shopping! but at this time of the year you should find some good deals...)

thanks chelley!  I love the coconut flavoured rum cream mmmm  that's my fav!  I'll tell him not to bring back more than 4 bottles.  He can put 2 in in suitcase and carry 2 from the duty free with him on the plane.

we are both really excited and nervous at the same time....he's never been on a plane before and he's nervous about immigration.  So far, everyone said it all went smoothly for those migrating so hopefully it will be good for him too. 

Yep, I have some warm clothes for him already.  Brought a fleece sweater and long sleeve shirts when I went down so he can wear them on the plane.  He has a few of his own scarfs...lol  he loves scarf, no idea why.  I'll bring the Winter coat, gloves and toque to the airport for him. 

only 4 more days!!

  NAE....wow 4 more sleeps...MAN I remember the feeling...CLOOOOOUD NINE!!!!    Can't wait to hear of his arrival to Canada..hopefully he will come out of those darn doors propa like..lol.....  I still can't believe I didn't get that picture    ..as you know me and my pics..lol.

  Well back to work tomorrow for me...it has been a blast to have this much time off with hubby and the girls ..BUT play time is over and now real life starts..lol... Hubby is bathing the girls..so I get a chance to post.. and so it starts...hubby has only one can of Supligen and Irish Moss left for carrot juice...SO now what to do? I cannot seem to find anywhere here that sells it..DOES anyone know where I might get my hands on some???   

  Sick glad things are good for you...and you said it all..this forum is a great place to spend time and have a few laughs..while waiting for KG to send your loved ones home to you... I thought I was never going to be done with the process and some days I just felt sooo down...and here everyone supported and understood how you were feeling and that just seemed to help pick you right back up Which I will always be so thankful for and will never forget those hard days of waiting.  I have met some great people on here and hopefully one day might meet of few of them in person, as we share so much in common 

  So I am off to get things organized for tomorrow... and I wish everyone a great week..with hopefully some more UPDATES!!!!

Hey guys does anyone know what happens when the person goes through immigration here? Do they ask you any questions and what type of questions they would ask? Has anyone found that they or their hubby was given a hard time once they landed in Canada and had to go through immigration?

rosemel - OMG I would be on cloud nine except that I'm sick     I've been in bed all weekend and didn't manage to make it to work today.  I also took Friday afternoon off.  I feel like road kill right now so it's put a damper on my excitement.  Don't get me wrong, I am but mayb I'm on cloud 5 or 6 instead of 9 lol  I've been taking zinc, vitamin C and drinking tea and soup like it's going out of style!!! I better be feeling better before hubby gets here!!!  I am also taking Friday off as a vacation day so I can spend 3 days at home with hubby then it'll be back to work     Not enough time to play but I have to pay the bills!!

GOOD MORNING FORUM FAMILY, Nae sorry to hear your sick, better get better for hubby, only a few sleeps left. Welcome back sheriag we missed ya on here.
Child, the landing is very quick and they were very pleasant with us. Went through customs then to imm and turned in passport and copr which they filled out and stapled it into her passport, we then went and got her cute little red bag, welcomed us to CA and we were off.

The room was full of pregnant women and their partners, and the Lamaze class was in full swing. The instructor was teaching the women how to breathe properly, along with informing the men how to give the necessary assurances at this stage of the plan.

The teacher then announced, "Ladies, exercise is good for you. Walking is especially beneficial. And, gentlemen, it wouldn't hurt you to take the time to go walking with your partner!"

The room really got quiet. Finally, a man in the middle of the group raised his hand. "Yes?" replied the teacher. "Is it alright if she carries a golf bag while we walk?"

I woke up this morning excited and filled with Godly expectations that hubby will get called to pick up the passport today.
Nae sick or not bounce urself up to cloud nine girl as my husband would say enough loving will rid ur body of all cold and flu hubby is just want the doctor ordered for u Nae

thanks Canuck I am hoping it will be a quick process I cannot imagine having him inside those doors while outside waiting - now that will take patience.

Hello forum friends and family!

Just not too long got back from doing my medical and police certificate.  Lord have mercy.  If anyone remembers how I explained it last time, this is where I need to lie down and recover! 

But, thank God it's done.  Just waiting on a couple more support letters from family and friends, need to print some more pictures of us, and then next weekend, it's bye-bye me, hello hubby and CPC-M for our application package.

Congrats Randy'sgirl, I know just how you felt... i had no clue if i was going to be accepted to being a sponsor even though i seemed to have qualified no problems. Such a relief! Yay!

good stuff Charlie... almost ready to send off that application.. its a part time job preparing for immigration man, took me 2 months from beginning to end to gather, complete, organize, everything... i applied 2 months after I got married

congrats Randys girl!!  I remember getting the sponorship approval letter...it was definitely exciting.  It was one more leg of the race completed.  It felt good to me and I'm sure it's just as exciting for you!!  Awesome news!!

yep lonely wife and kc....only 2 more days and I'm not ready!!! lol  since I've been sick, I have done nothing but mostly lay around in bed.  I took friday afternoon and monday off work due to being sick.  I've managed to only do the laundry, get groceries, and get my nails done.  I still have to straighten up the house - I did all the cleaning before I left for JA thank God so there isn't much to do.  That will all have to be done tonight and tomorrow IF I have the energy.  Does anyone have any elves or fairies they'd like to loan me??           Oh well, hubby no doubt won't notice and we can organize the closet as he unpacks lol  

charlie - congrats to you too, you're almost there!!!  It'll be a BIG weight lifted from your shoulders once it's all sent.  Can't wait for you to join the waiting line
