Hmm.... usually they only ask for itinery when the meds are about to expire... i dont know if you want to chance a few hundred dollars for a plane ticket for hubby, if you can afford to lose out on the money and are willing to do it knowing that they could not issue the visa in time and you promise yourself you will not get upset at yourself for trying... then go for it.. maybe they will expedite it so that hubby can come home with you.

thanks kc!!!!    if you book Westjet the penalty for cancelling the flight is $50 then you can re-schedule anytime.  I wasn't planning on booking the flight but his cousin works at the airport...she could get him an itinerary for free : )  so nothing lost there : )  

they asked sickntired for her itinerary and her meds didn't expire until January.  I don't know, the thought occurred to me that they may be trying to up their numbers for the end of the year....get as many people processed as possible.  You never know.....

oh well, it was just a thought...

I remember when I read it 'Meds recvd', I was like - I can't breathe, I can't swallow. lol All i could do was jump up and down at my desk and stamp my feet. Then after a few minutes of gathering my composure called hubby and he's like "Oh yea, KG called and said I could drop off my PP." I was like WHAT?!?!? 

Nae, it looks like you and hubby will be starting off the New Year right - Together. Enjoy your time out there. And remember that 2011 is your year. How long are you in JA for?

thanks HF!!!  I am in JA from Dec 31 to Jan 10.....KG is closed tomorrow and Monday.  I've been thinking about it a million ways I swear lol  If they wait until next week to call him, that would only leave Thursday to drop off his PP (I think it's only Tues and Thurs that you can drop it off) and then the usual 2 to 3 week wait would mean he won't be able to come home with me  

unless they are trying to get their numbers up for the end of the year and call him today, ask him to drop off Tues and then rush things along.  They issued the VISA for sickntired in a day or two so we know it can be done.

I know it may be wishful thinking but what the hell....it doesn't hurt to wish for miracles to happen

Here's today's offering, in honour of all the postmen who have delivered good news to our little forum family this year!

It was the mailman's last day on the job after 35 years of carrying the mail through all kinds of weather to the same neighborhood. When he arrived at the first house on his route he was greeted by the whole family there, who congratulated him and sent him on his way with a big gift envelope. At the second house they presented him with a box of fine cigars. The folks at the third house handed him a selection of terrific fishing lures.

At the fourth house he was met at the door by a strikingly beautiful woman in a revealing negligee. She took him by the hand, gently led him through the door (which she closed behind him), and led him up the stairs to the bedroom where she blew his mind with the most passionate love he had ever experienced. When he had had enough they went downstairs, where she fixed him a giant breakfast: eggs, potatoes, ham, sausage, blueberry waffles, and fresh-squeezed orange juice. When he was truly satisfied she poured him a cup of steaming coffee. As she was pouring, he noticed a dollar bill sticking out from under the cup's bottom edge.

"All this was just too wonderful for words," he said, "but what's the dollar for?" "Well," she said, "last night, I told my husband that today would be your last day, and that we should do something special for you. I asked him what to give you." He said, "*censored word* him, give him a dollar." The lady then said, "The breakfast was my idea."

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE......... LOVIN' THE UPDATES!!

Nae!  Looks like Mr. Nae will be the first hubby landing story of 2011!!! Congrats!  Before flying out last June, I called my MP told him my plans and emailed the IO immediately with my itinerary.  The visa was in hubby's hands the day before I was supposed to fly home. You know the rest of the story after that.   

Charlie - I'm sorry for you loss. I was thinking you would have applied for a TRV to attend the funeral.

For all of those who are attempting the medical doctor's note approach, I tried that, Orthopaedic surgeon wrote a nice letter prior to my surgery and.........nothing!! Ppl have even tried to use doctor's notes to expedite processing to witness the birth their child...... nothing!!

Chelley - good luck on your surgery.

Maplesyrup thanks for the heads up about the doctors note... I figured I would give it a try... I am not far behind Nae in dates so I'm praying that they call my hubby too soon since my ecas has never been updated since I received my letter of acceptance to sponsor....

wow, thanks for the tip Maple!!!!  I actually did email my MP and asked them if this meant it's the end.  She responded first thing this morning saying yes, the next step is PP call.  She said she would make an enquiry with the embassy to see what's happening.  So, after just reading your tip, I just sent my itinerary to her and asked her to send it off to the IO asking if it was in any way possible to have his PR Visa before I leave.  The MP's office is closed starting tomorrow until Jan 3 but if she can at least get it sent off today, it can't hurt can it?

we are also getting an itinerary printed for hubby for my return date to submit with the PP .... if they ever friggen call!!!! lol  

thank you everyone for your support!!!  I know I'm totally buggin out right now and I hope I'm not being totally annoying to you guys lol  I know some of you know how I feel....we are so close and can't find out what's going on....it's got my nerves on edge that's for sure
