Ok I am a bit confused because I see people saying that they know that they're applications are in process... Where do you guys get this info? Is it from CAIPS??? Is it normal that when I go on cic.gc.ca and check the status I only see final decision made for sponsoring and not for the PR.... the PR side says not available... Am I suppose to be able to enter the file number B******* to check the status cause at this point when I enter it with my husband info it doesn't pull up nothing and when I do it with my info nothing either? Is this normal??? Also I was wondering if anyone got the CAIPS notes and if so do you see tentative dates for each section even if the dates have not gone by yet??? I am wondering if KG conducts the majority of the applicants for interviews???

Lonely_wife, from what I have seen, your husband's file IS in process, because he has received a request for original documents. As for the AOR, from what I have seen, some of the other ladies in process earlier this year just got their AOR's dated in November. Apparently, KG wasn't sending them out for a while, and are catching up on the backlog now.
I don't know if eCAS is actually updated by KG, I can't recall anyone in this thread talking about it, you'd have to ask a more long-time member.
Quite a few persons here have been approved without interviews. It really depends on the IO and how strong they think the application package is, but that's just my opinion. You seem to have a straightforward case, and were well prepared, so it may be that the interview is waived for your husband.

Ok perfect Charlie... Thanks for the info.. I was also thinking my app was in process but I would love to see a change somewhere on the cic.gc.ca but if KG have to do the change I'm sure that nothing at all will happen as they are soooooooooooooooooooooooo slow..... Just overall bad experience with them so far...

Welcome Highflavoured and Lonely_wife!!!! I am sure you will feel right at home on this site as I have in the last month or so.
I too am waiting to hear something from KG. My hubby has only received the AOR and is waiting to see what they will do next. This is very nerve wracking as we all know but I guess all we can do is pray!!!

hello forum family!!
welcome highlyflavoured!! what is your timeline like? I'd like to add you to our list.
wow, I'm going to be totally confused now ... we have 2 highlyflavoured and now a second lonely wife lol
reemagray - our file was sent to KG on Jun 28/10 and hubby didn't get the AOR until Nov 1...it was dated Sept 27. Mind you he didn't check the post office everyday and I was visiting the last week of Oct so it was probably at the post office mid to end of Oct waiting for him. The best way to get any kind of answer from them is to have the MP send an inquiry. They have to answer the MP. It took them about 2 weeks to get back to my MP when she made an inquiry. They sent her the wrong file number and info. When we got the AOR I gave her the right file number, she sent another inquiry and they didn't respond. She sent a 3rd inquiry and it took about a week to get a response. Each time, the IO did not give her any info other than it's being processed. For the most part, unless KG requires an interview or more documents to be submitted, you don't hear from them until they call to request your passport.
lonely_wife - I'm a bit confused by your posts....are you being sponsored or is it your husband being sponsored? what you are going through is normal, KG does update ecas, ecas is not reliable and my husband's B # still doesn't work on it. Not sure why but the Immigration Officers (IO) don't update ecas so you won't know anything. It seems by our forum updates list that the latest timelines are around 7 to 9 months. I got the info about the file in process from ecas and then the AOR letter said what date they received the file. Just a small piece of advice to you...you have to keep yourself busy with other things or you'll go crazy!! It is a long process and unfortunately you do not get any information from them during the process.

Good morning forum friends and family (I hope I am allowed to say that now that I've been here a couple months!).
LOL, yes Nae, the names are quite close, we'll have to keep good track!
For today's cup of laughter:
A man tells his wife that he's going out to buy cigarettes. When he gets to the store he finds out it's closed. So the guy ends up going to the bar to use the vending machine. While there, he has a few beers and begins talking to this beautiful girl. He has a few more beer and the next thing he knows he's in this girl's apartment and having quite a pleasurable time. The next thing he know it was 3:00 AM.
"Oh my, god, my wife is going to kill me!" he exclaimed. "Quick give me some talcum powder!"
She gets him some and he rubs it all over his hands. When he got home his wife is up waiting for him and she's furious. "Where the hell have you been!"
He says, "Well to tell you the truth, I went into a bar, had a few drinks, went home with this blonde and I slept with her." "Let me see your hands!" she demands. He shows his wife his powdery hands.
"Damn liar, you were out bowling again!"

AOR = Acknowledgement of Receipt. It is a form letter issued by the embassy to say they have received your file, here is your file number, this is how long it takes to process this type of application, don't call us, we'll call you. Basically, it just lets you know that they have it in KG and will be working on it at some point.

highly flavoured - have you sent in your application yet? if so can you tell me the date, and if your sponsorship has been approved and the date. I want to add you to our updates list. Since you are being sponsored by a family member, you are in the family class

Good morning my forum family, Charlie good one, you're keeping us all laughing. BTW, we are all part of this family, some are our newborns, some parents, some grandparents. One family, one love for the same purpose. Well will be off the forum for awhile, got some important stuff to do, like a wray and nephew under the warm JA sun and watching the little Mrs freeze her ass off in the cold Canadian north. Gotta love it Merry Christmas and Happy New Year my family, one love
NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KG NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning Beautiful people... 3 more sleeps until christmas So wha gwan everybody... everyone aright??? welcome HFavour and L_W ( keeping it short to distinguish between all the lonley and highlyfavoured wifeys out there ) I love all the new forum family members questions, it totally brings back memories. L_W from what I can see, your application is moving along perfectly... you have recevied your AOR and Document Request after this as long as your medicals do not expire (medicals are valid for 1 year from the date you did them) the next request from KNG would be to bring in your passport. As for updates on ecas, dont waste your time worrying about that, my hubbies file was not updated until after he had landed your file IS in process 100%, you got your letter and your Document request. HFavour - if you are being sponsored by a family member then you would be in the Family catagory, but either under Dependent Children or Parents & grandparents which has total different time lines but pretty much similar procedure as the spousal & Partners category. Are you being sponsored by a parent? Grandparent or child? Please stick around since we have all sorts of cases in the group, skilled worker, adoption and family!
