hey everyone...

just popping in to let Angella know that (unless they changed things significantly) there isn't a scheduled drop off time... as soon as he can, he won't be bumped off any list if he can't make it today... i'm not sure if that Tues and Thurs business is still in effect or if they're back to Mon-Thurs? but if he can't make it until next week they will take his ppt same way...

when we got our call, we told them we would likely come in the next day but we ended up just making the trip that same day... wasn't an issue at all, they don't have a schedule for things like that, it's take a number and wait until you're called...

no worries... you tell him to be safe and stick home until weather calms and the ground is sure to stay put under him (landslides and all sorts of madness hitting the island right now, my thoughts and prayers are to all who have been effected)...

take care all and congrats to all the new babies in the making... i am sick as a dog in just about everyway possible today and i'm thinking i might be best to go pick up a HPT.... my goal was NOT to come back to work pregnant and sure enough a few weeks before i go back all i see is pure pregnant ladies (which in the past has been a sign for me...).... eeeeeeeek!    I don't feel it tho... i just feel SICK!

Hello everyone (I will learn all the names soon, promise!)  Congrats to Angella on the PPR, more good news out of KG on the last hours of September.     

Well, hubby and I moved yesterday...yes, in the middle of the tropical storm!  Man, it was something else.  Thank God, nothing too wet or damaged, and we got settled in and had a little time to walk around and find a supermarket and he made a nice dinner.  It's our last week together, so I don't even miss the cable and internet, right now just want to store up some memories to hold me until Christmas.

Congrats also to kc on the baby   I not ready yet to walk that road, and hubby have 2 girls already, so he can gwaan hold on until we get this immigration business out of the way   

Everyone in Jamaica, stay safe in this mad weddah!  Those in Canada and headed there soon, good luck wid oonuh wintah, mi nah seet dis year! LOL.

I'm new to this forum and I have a question that you might be able to help me with... it might been answer before, but I didn't have time to read all the pages of the topic...

I'm sponsoring my husband and he did his medical in Sept. 2009 and they are now expired. I received the information from my MP that Kingston is not really processing any file before the 12th month (!!??? even if CIC website says other delays). We just passed the 8 months for our application. Should he wait for Kingston to invite him to redo his medical, or I can print the same form we used the fist time and have it done before they require it so its in the file when they'll process it? Will I have the same problem with the police clearance? Does that expire too?

Hello and welcome

Yes, the police certificate expires like the medical.  Usually they request a new set of each when they are close to completing the application and granting PR.  You may want to hold off until hearing from KG regarding re-doing them before actually doing so.  However, I am new, so perhaps a more experienced poster has done as you wish to and renewed them before being requested to do so and can say how this worked out for them.
