LCW in a heart beat we would take him. When this all started she was all upset saying we are taking him away from her. But hubby calmed her just letting her know he needed meds etc. So later in time if he ever wanted to come or she wanted us to take him we could.

Good evening Forum  Cheesy

NAE...congrats !! any update is a good one  Cheesy  I remember the feeling myself when we got any little news from KG.  We are so far into this process now I wonder what life will be like if we ever do finish it...I really want to find out...I look at all the pics posted on FB and all the ones that have been united and just pray for our day to come. Maple looks so happy!!  Grin We will be in the 15 month % ....and still cannot believe it will take that long for KG to let us be a family...... baffles my mind when some get through so quick and some of us sit and wait for such a long time...oh well...it just makes us stronger and makes me know it will all be worth it in the end!!

good morning everyone!!

glo - so sad about the little guy's mother.  It must be very difficult for her. She must take some comfort in the fact that there are good people to take care of him should anything happen to her.

rose - thanks!  I may not receive another update for months but just knowing the file is there and they have started doing something is a relief!!!  hubby was really happy hearing the news too!  it means we are 1 step closer to being together.  Don't worry, your countdown is on and it won't be too much longer before we are admiring your beautiful pictures too!  You're a strong woman, you've made it this far, you can make it to the finish line!!

there's only 2 days left this week....let's hear some more news from KG!!!

Good morning everyone. Rose your time is coming we all know how the feelings of not knowing can be on us. There have been many tears and so much frustration. I wish I was a fly on the wall in KG just to see what they are doing. Soon they will kicking all us 2009'ers out. After the papers go in who knows how much time will pass. I still think we will wait and wait.
A family friend who is married to a Morrocan his wait is done, and they just filed last summer. Crazy how some files and some places are faster.
I guess they just want to keep as many as they can in JA.  Grin

...Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!!

My husband is busy filling out his application... he just went in for to do his medical today, He's going to drive to Kingston next week to get the police clearance.

Everything so far seems to be going smoothly so far.... I guess the hard part is still to come.. the waiting, waiting and more waiting!  Shocked

I just hope we didnt jump the gun and do his medical to soon, it looks like alot of people have had to do the medical over...

I'm so confused, how the heck do some people have their husbands in a few months, then others almost a year...

If i have to wait over a year,  I might die...!

I"m already sick of waiting... and honetly I've been to Jamaica 5 times in just over a year... I'm kind of getting tired of travelling! ok, my vent is over!

Amen Sheraig, Amen! He promised to never leave us nor forsake us. Massa God a God! Smiley

Sanchester, there really is no rhyme of reason as to why things happen faster than some. I handed in my application top of the year and was finished in 5 months, meanwhile those who started the month before or the month after me are still waiting. Whatever your lot is, trust in the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, because He is (and always will be) in control of everything.

Kimore, I thank you. I pray that your trip is blessed and that the favour of God is upon you and yours during your time together. Cheesy

Morning Sanchester! Cheesy

No nothing extra. When they asked for additional/original documents (which was the final step for us b4 he got the PPR) I just provided proof that he was on my insurance at work (medical/life/dental), cards we received from our wedding, more letters, more pictures, plus our original marriage certificate. Then we just prayed for God's will to be done.

As for medicals and police certificates, my husabdn had his police certificate done 5 months before I actually submitted the application and the medical was done 3 months prior.

What also helped, I think, is that when they called for the additional/original documents, I just happened to be in JA and took the call. I tell you, it was a divine appointment.

Morning everyone! Grin Blessing upon blessings!

Ladies, it's that moment when you know their flight is landing and you are waiting for them to come through the doors at the airport or in my case through the doors and down the escalator. It was surreal. It's like watching a romanctic movie but you are starring in it and your "Knight in Shining Armour" is coming to meet you. You get all these butterflies and you feel like you are a teenager all over again. Wink Amazing! I believe that the delays and paperwork that have been held up are going to be released in the name of Jesus!

I don't hope in anything else but the power of Jesus Christ and I believe that this year is going to be the year of "ultimate" reunions.  Families will be restored. Those of you who are down and out right now, and are fighting against frustration and tears - Sorrow may ensure for a night, but you morning is coming and it's filled with unspeakable joy! Amen!

Remember this is a race and you can't fall back or give up until you cross that finish line and receive your prize and that is the reunion you've been waiting so many, many months for. Maple and Missing can attest to that. So can LCW and the rest of us. Be strong for yourselves and if you can't, then be strong for your husbands, because despite how much they are "manly" and "macho" there are, I guarantee you that their pillows can probably bear witness to many tearful nights.

Be blessed & Stay blessed!  Wink Cool
