i cant believe what i am reading, your own mother came up with this wicked plan. please be strong maple and dont let her ruin your marriage. she will try to make you feel as though you are doing the wrong thing but dont make her actions cloud your judgment my dear. [/color] As I was in the shower earlier, I prayed for a break through,not just for me, but for all who are still waiting, BUT made special mention of MAPLE. About 10mins after I came out of the shower, the phone rang and it was someone from the Visa office calling to explain why my PP wasn't return as yet. Apparently they didn't have a copy of my CSQ, and she requested that I fax it as soon as possible and they will send my PP with the visa this week via FEDEX! GOD IS INDEED FAITHFUL! I realized that it's natural for us to feel the way we do and ask the questions we do throughout this process, in order to help pass the time. But you know you don't feel a sign of relief until that PP with the visa in your hand and finally when you're in your hubby's arms!  BE ENCOURAGED ALL, THERE'S MORE GREAT NEWS TO COME ... [/b]

Hi Everybody,
My wife is here now and things couldnt be better, still want to pinch myself everytime I see her since its so hard to believe she is actually here. Sad to see some of you are struggling like Maple, that is one of the worst things I have ever heard somebodys own mother could do. Hopefully the embassy will see through those lies. I would report her to the police.
Anybody whose spouse has arrived in Canada can maybe help me with this question. Where is a good place to get private health coverage since its going to take months for her to get on OHIP? I looked at BlueCross but seems kinda expensive for basic coverage.

Maple that is horrific, people need to be jealous of the fact that someone may get something that they can't have and try to ruin someone's opportunity for happiness. You will overcome this delay. extremelyHappy, I'm SO glad to hear you and Mrs.extremelyHappy are indeed EXTREMELY HAPPY!  That truly is a blessing. I think Manulife has coverage too. HighlyFavoured try this service healthquotes.ca, it compares quotes from all the major insurance companies. Manulife is probably what I will go with, they had the best quote.
One thing that annoys me about OHIP is the 3 month waiting period starts from the day you submit your application, not when the applicant arrives in Canada. They require 3 documents one of which is proof she lives at my address meaning I need to get her a cell phone or bank account and wait for the statement to arrive which could take a month before I can submit her application. Hard to get too angry anymore though after what I just went through the past year!
