Congrats Soso on the homecoming.  Welcome Mr. Soso.

Thanks to those of you who responded on my CAIPS queries (LCW, Maple and anyone else).  It is quite depressing to realize that Kingston has had our file for over 11 months and the background check isn't even completed.  I figure our file is actually not in storage but stuck under a table leg to keep it from wobbling - must be a pretty lopsided table to start cause the file must be at least 2" thick!  Even though we are not past the 14 months, not sorry I paid the $5 bucks to have my fears confirmed that we are still closer to the starting line than the finish line.  At least we know.  And I am going to see the MP, none of this email/phone calls, face to face!  His office is not far from me and he should be in town sometime this month I'm sure.  I know they told me they could do nothing until I passed the 80% timeline, but when I submitted it was published as 8 months, and when I talked to them it was 13 months and now its 14 months.  At this rate, I will never reach the magic "time" where the MPs office can make a serious inquiry.

Rosemel, I noticed you filed in June.  Is hubby in Mobay area by any chance?  Hubby knows someone in Mobay who was working at Margaritaville until sometime in about June whose application was filed around then.  Hubby said the guy's wife was a member of "that place where you talk about immigration" but could not remember the screen name.  Its probably not you though - hubby said this guy got called for originals in the last week or so, but your call was after that I think and for the certificates.  I know there are more of us out there then we actually see on the forum....

And I noticed the post about meeting for drinks at a later date...we would have to be there only in spirit.  I am in the prairies and plane tickets to the GTA cost as much as a flight to JA most times!

I have not heard of anyone doing a medical at a NON desiginated DMP..that is too bad teif dat doc teif yuh coil......bwoooy mon mi cyaan handle dem eediat dem....

You got asked to bring in original docs CORRECT?

On the same call the lady said to you tht the meds were not done at a Designated DMP and med redos will be sent to you...

Generally with doc requests you have a 60 day timeline to submit them....you recieved your doc request by phone at the end of october? that means you will be in review end of decemeber early january so i would get them to your case officer...or else they state in the letter which i recieved

"Please submiit the documents within 60 days of this letter...if we do not hear from you then we will presume you have no further intrest in coming to canada" something like that and they may make yuou apply all over again

Have you submitted the docs yet... from what i read you havent.... get them there asap......Dont worry about the meds to much get those docs in there and have your husband inquire while he is dropping them off. There is a
chance he can get the forms when  he is there unlesss they sent them off.l..and or they are waiting for a specific time to ask you to redo.

Anyways my adivice to you get those documents to them.....you are not delaying your file...your case officer more than likely has set a review date from 60 days from the date of the call.....and she will be looking into the documents that were to be submitted....so get those documents there girl...

Sounds like they will send the med request when they are totally done with background and security clearances and validating weather or not marriage is bonified....so get those docs in girl

An elderly Jamaican man lay dying in his bed. While suffering the agonies of impending death, he suddenly smelled the aroma of his favorite Jamaican pastry, 'Gizzada' wafting up the stairs. He gathered his remaining strength, and lifted himself from the bed.

Mustering one great final effort, he threw himself towards the table, landing on his knees in a rumpled posture. His parched lips parted, the wondrous taste of the 'Gizzada' was already in his mouth, seemingly bringing him back to life.

The aged and withered hand trembled on its way to a 'Gizzada' at the edge of the table, when it was suddenly smacked with a 'dutch-pot' by his wife...... "Move yu back-side!" she said, "Dem ya a fe you funeral."

Well a greta morning to my family, been away for a few days so haven't backtracked yet. GREAT NEWS, I got my divorce papers, wahoo, gonna be getting it on on the 19th. Maple, wearing a cream coloured suit, shoes and wine coloured shirt. I hope someone has gotten some really good news, will catch up on my reading on the weekend, Take care my friends.

Again, Johnny instantly replied, "Our allowance...Susie makes 5 bucks a week and I make 10 bucks a week. That's about 60 bucks a month, and that'll do us just fine." By this time Mr. Smith was a little shocked that Johnny had put so much thought into this. So, he thought for a moment trying to come up with something that Johnny wouldn't have an answer for. After a second, Mr. Smith said, "Well Johnny, it seems like you have got everything all figured out. I just have one more question for you. What will you do if the two of you should have little ones of your own?"
Johnny just shrugged his shoulders and said, "Well, we've been lucky so far...."

Well last night I said goodbye to my Jamaican buddies was overcome with emotions...and cried, and now they are currently on the plane home to Jamaica, feeling sad as not sure if they are coming back next year. 

Welcome Ryon aka SOSO's hubby...lol..I hope you have enjoyed your first few days here in Canada.  Glad everything went well upon your arrival and SOSO is taking good care of you!!
Please help her to learn to boil water...lol.
