so i finally heard from my MP and it was mixed good and bad....this is what she said

He has been chosen for positive selection
They have determined our marriage is bonafied
They have waved the interviewed
They have confirmed payment of the rprf fee
They are continuing back ground check
My bf date is may 16
If we hear nothing we may contact mid june

But missing.... she's just confirming everything you already know....   otherwise he wouldn't have gotten the redo requests.   The file is still under review, hopefully he will be home before the BF date.... it has happened before!!!

I wish they made that info available on all cases so that we know where we are. So May 16th.....hope you get good news by then.

Was just reading this regarding contacting the KG office. Basically its pointless trying to contact them if you want info about your file because of the privacy act. So caips is the way to go. I guess thats why their email are so generic.  This is from the Jamaica CIC website.

Missing ...it is standard for them to run more background checks right at the end before pp reqest ...I emailed them 2 weeks b4 my BF forward date and then because of that they called for PP..

Be patient you are on the home stretch..I figure 2 weeks youll get the call ..

So another day and no reply to me nor the MP. I think we are lost in KG. Missing how long did it take for your MP to hear back?
One thing I was wondering and please correct me if I am thinking wrong. Our says processing August 25/2009 do any of you think thats when they started to count. Never mind counting from May 2009. Counting from May its almost 12 mths now from Aug its 8, so makes me wonder.
And Maple all I say for your words is Thank You. Real Strength.
I told hubby today I have to laugh and joke or I will cry.  And keep thinking one day closer every day.

lol KC: I been bussin me brain trying to figure it out.

GLO: for real the more positive you stay the more bearable the wait is. I have had one melt down so far and I dont intend to go back there. I know once I see hubby in June I can do another 6 months no prob! No matter how hard you think you have it somebody have it harder than you. So I intend to count my blessings everyday!

One day gone really brings us one day closer.

Glo...it is from when your AOR is stamped...cause my MP told me my file is into it's 11month of processing and my ecas says aug and my AOR says may.....so go with AOR date.
Also i called my MP yesterday and she phoned KG yesterday and spoke to someone, then phoned me today to tell me about the conversation.
I know she spoke to someone cause i asked her to email the info but she said because it was a verbal conversation on the phone she can not put it in an email.....so long story short, it took less then 24 hrs

LCW...for me the whole point of getting my MP to contact them was in hopes they would look at his file and see that everything is finished....maybe it worked, maybe it didn't...i guess MORE time will tell.....OH GOD I AM TIRED OF WAITING!!!!!

    Missing...keep your chin up and we will all pray they call soon for his PP...but I know how you feel, as does everyone else still waiting such a long time for some news from KG.  It really makes no sense in my mind how this process works with them and I guess that is why I get so down and out somedays...it is just so darn frustrating to say the least.  I truly hope that you get that call soon!!!

    Ok well I got the call for a job...but it only starts at the end of April and might be just short term, so we will see???  I think I will go tomorrow and check on a few other options just the same...Man when it rains it pours..hubby says yams are not selling right now in JA and he is out of gas for his stove and school fees are due, light bill and also groceries... These are the times I ask myself...why is it KG wants to keep people down and out.  He could be up here working and providing, it makes no sense to me at all???...I am trying to stay positive and happy but it is times like this that really get you down.  I know the feeling too with having to wait for EI...money becomes tight...I guess they say it is darkest before the dawn...but damn...enough already.  I guess the good of all of this is he got all his tanks filled with the rain they are getting and so now he has enough water for at least 2 months.  It is so hard when you rely on markets for your money...I feel so helpless right now and it really seems like it isn't going to get better and sometimes I think to myself...this could be all over if KG would just stamp the PP already!!!!  Anyways...sorry for venting yet again I will get positive again I promise Jam, LCW, and everyone else here on the Forum...oh look Lotto Max commercial on TV...$30 million...I will buy a ticket   Wish me luck!!

 Oh and my tooth is MUCH better today and KC cows feet....gross!!!!!!............lol
