homesoon.... my genes are def strong too.... i have two kids from my previous marriage (also to a jamaican) my daughter looks a bit like me, but she's the darkest of the three... my first son, spitting image of his father, but strawberry blonde... the baby... he's looking like he'll be a redhead too Smiley none of them have the least bit nappy hair... more just thicker than mine (which is very thin) and on the curly/wavey side....  Smiley so you really never know what you'll get Smiley

soso... yes, mat pay is direct deposit... and yes, you register the birth online these days, you apply for the b/c at the same time... takes about 2-3 weeks if all goes well, but it can take longer (they say up to 6 weeks).... we needed ours NOT to take 6 weeks and after nearly 4 i hadn't heard anything about the registration going thru... so i called my MP and they expedited it for me... had b/c by 5 weeks, passport by 7 (he was technically nearly 9 weeks when we arrived)... if your hospital is on the ball and filing their paperwork in a timely fashion (mine was not), you can get it all done in less than 6 weeks easy.... my doctor said that in special circumstances babys can get their 2 month shots a couple weeks early (6w is the earilest).... don't like to do it, but they'd rather give them to them early than not at all...

All this baby talk is making me yearn for a baby. I am missing the way it feel to hold one. I think we will have one next year. I think we will make beautiful babies. Hubby says if the baby is dark dark then we are going on Maury....lol YOU ARE NOT THE FATHER!

So we are thinking of going to Ocho Rios for our Anniversary getaway. Can anyone recommend a nice but fairly priced hotel there? Man I cannot wait.

ChellY: No we wont have a car. I cant drive and hubby hates driving here. We do have a "taxi man" who is a family friend who chauffeurs us around. Anywhere between 50-100 CDN a night would be great.

Soso... re: cravings. hmmm. let me tell you a funny story. I had a really strict old jewish pediatrician who lacked bedside manors and was very professional. So into my 7th month and I had gained 60 pounds already.
So that appointment morning I stepped on the scale and the nurse gives me a harsh look and scribbles down my number on the chart - and puts me into wait for the Doctor.
Dr. Solomon comes in, looks at my chart and says "what's going on with your weight"?
My response "I don't know, I'm just holding onto sooo much water".
His response "Water my ass, you're eating too damn much"!!!

OUCH....

So I went from morning sickness for 3 months to a bottomless pit that was never satisifed. The good news, I was 18 and lost the entire 80 (YUP 80 pounds) i had gained. But man, that was stressful.

Good luck with the food. I'm sure you're craving OJ for the acidic and bread for the way it soaks up the stomach stuff.

I feel for you - sick is not fun. But they say when you are sick, it's the increase in the levels of (can't remember the name) but it basically is a great sign that the baby is doing well.

You man sounds funny! Cheesy
