OK...I know this is SOSO's day....BUT I have to let everyone know.....Hubby got a call today....they want him to fax his "Selection Certificates" and if he cannot fax them. He must bring them into KG, and what I also want to share with everyone today...is that I was just sitting here at home and I was feeling so blue and down and I started crying and then the phone rang with hubby telling me his news. I will not get my hopes up but OMG how I wish, OH HOW I WISH!!!

OH thank you Jam...."Selection Certificates" cost us $450.00 more and it is because I live in the Province of Quebec and we are special here. It is something special our government has with Immigration. I am not sure what exactly it is...all I DO know is it cost more money...lol. Oh and also they have to learn to speak french.

Lonely..thanks for asking ìf I am good....I did not want to whine...but I have been very sad lately and down....I went through the task of decorating for Christmas ...as everyone on my street is all lite up already..so figured I better get to it....but I really feel strange this year and not dealing well with trying to be festive, plus hubby is SO sick and it hurts that I cannot do anything to help him, this is the hardest thing I have ever had to do being apart from him.

Ok I was curious so I looked it up... Certificate issued by the Québec Minister responsible for immigration to a foreign national wishing to settle permanently in Québec who meets the selection conditions and criteria determined by regulation.So in Quebec they have special criteria that you have to meet and that is decided before the actual application for PR takes place. Interesting. I learnt something new today....  I am really not feeling Christmas either. But my daughter is excited about it so I have to do it all up for her. Hubby wont be here...  But we all have to stay strong and positive. This will prob be the last Christmas we all will spend away from our spouses. |

SOSE --------- today is your day my girl.... 5 hours till you see hubbies face! I know just how you feel and its a mixture of soooo many feelings, happy, excited, anxious, emotional, giggly, it makes you feel like a likkle kid again. Rosemel - Congrats on your special request from KG - so glad you got a call to lift your spirits! Just what you needed. God is good! Too bad you have to pay the little xtra money for the application - i know in hyndsite its totally justifyable since its your husband - but i am suprised QC has to pay for something extra than the rest of Canada - usually its the other way around... even when you take your bottles back to the liquor/beer store you get more money than the rest of the country!!
I am getting my tickets to redemption today - Dec 12th Beenie Man and a whole slew of other artists - gonna show hubby we can gwan here in Canada how we gwan inna JA - MADDDDDDDDDDDDD! him will be happy to hear pure reggae all night long!

just wanted to hail up the mothers them. True when i was sour grapes i could be sour grapes for as long as i wanted - never had to put a smile pon my face for no one. I couldnt imagine sitting there feeling down and then having to just put that all aside and be super mommy for the pickney. I would feel like i got a split personality or something jumping from one emotion to a next. Big up yoursleves. Holidays must be extremly tough - but i love all of your strength to gwan and put up the tree, and lights and stocking and what not! I love that. Its inspiring. Your kids will love you for it.

HA HA HA....Oh KC you made me laugh.... Beer store ...I had not thought of that is some time since I have not been to ontario for almost 2 years... We can go to our local corner store and get beer and booze...and return our empties at the same time...lol. AHHH that will be something to get used to when we move to Ontario...and we can buy beer until 11PM and again at 8 AM. Thank you for putting a smile on my face.

And you only have to be 18 to drink in QC here in ONT you have to be 19. That was my favourite thing when i went to QC when i was 18 - being able to go buy beer and liquor from the corner store. That is how it should be - everything here is so tightly regulated. This year they threatened us with a Liquor store strike and everyone went MAD. I spent sooooo much money on liquor thinking that i was not going to be able to buy any for months. The liquor store had no stock and the lines were out the door and then the Liquor store never went on strike and everyone was stuck with a whole leep or alcohol.
i always see on bottles refund in Quebec only! i always wondered why!

I am leaving work now... going to get my son and head to the airport.
