Good morning my family, thank you for the good wishes. kmc it too 24 days to clear, it arrived on the 2nd and reviewed and cleared on the 26. Seems anywhere from 19 to 64. You will get good news shortly, have faith.

A teacher was wrapping up class, and started talking about tomorrow's final exam. He said there would be no excuses for not showing up tomorrow, barring a dire medical condition or an immediate family member's death. One smart ass, male student said, "What about extreme sexual exhaustion?", and the whole classroom burst into laughter.

After the laughter had subsided, the teacher glared at the student, and said, "Not an excuse, you can use your other hand to write."

good afternoon all...

nothing new to report here... trying to do my taxes for last year... think i was successful... hope so! (having a baby/being on mat leave makes tax time a happy time Smiley )

hopefully tomorrow will be a big day since we've not heard much...

kmc... we filed sept 30 and i was approved as sponsor oct 22... 23 calendar days...

just listening to the news and apparently there are some fires out of control in negril morass... environmental ppl upset... i'm listening to a bamboo fire that's been burning all day... after growing up and seeing so many pics of fires in california, this whole thing about burning fire in a drought makes me uncomfortable... these things are getting out of hand lately and people cry b/c fire trucks can't reach them... happened at least once around this area since we've been...  not sure why people don't see the danger in it and continue to do it...

ah well...

Why is everyone so quiet this week?

yes original bc for the applicant (hubby) and our marriage certificate... application was unclear on those two things... nothing else sent in photocopy format was requested in original for us...

we did have a request to bring in our son's birth certificate (he was listed on the application as "baby boy due oct 1" (with an explaination in the relationship section)... they asked us to bring in his b/c to show proof of birth as he was mentioned in the application (you're supposed to submit any change (birth, death ect) that should be included in the form) which we did... we got a call less than 2 weeks later to bring it in again bc they misplaced it and to also bring hubby's passport...

hopefully you get the request soon if they want originals... maybe if you're in kgn you could just drop them off proactively? dunno...

Well I'm not too worried. I have seen enough on these forums to know how unpredictable they are. I am prepared for the long wait if that's what it comes to.

Jammy....although i hope your wait is short and everything goes through perfectly for you (same as i hope for everyone) It is really nice to read how realistic you are and prepared to wait if thats what it comes too.
I think a lot of us get into this not knowing much and with such high hopes, i know i did, i assumed hubby would be back in 6 months. Boy was i wrong.
I think when we set high expectations we also set ourselves up for heavy disappointment.
March 20 with mark one year since hubby left, and March 12 will mark the begining of our 11 month in process....going through this and hearing everyone elses struggles sure slowed me up in a hurry, KG will work as fast or as slow as they want, all we can do is wait.

bless up everyone

lets get some laughs and good vibes going on here. Just cause KG has taken a break this week doesn't mean we all gotta sit silent.....get that family feeling going round here!  Grin

yes missing and jammy.. they work on their schedule apparently... hopefully someone will burn a fire under their butts for 2010 tho!

meant to say.... homesoon... hang in there... sorry it's been so long.... same to you missing...

i have a 4 year old and a 7 year old who say/do some pretty interesting/funny things... this morning they were having a contest to see who could go the longest without blinking... my 4 year old is counting for the 7 year old... while he's counting she yells... "FASTER... COUNT FASTER".. heheheheh... guess the whole concept of "timing something" is wasted on them...  maybe she can go tell kingston how work too??? Smiley

Missing true words. I think what Homesoon(sooncome  Grin) said the other day was so true. You cant really compare your case to others. I must admit seeing other people get done in less than 5 months makes you get your hopes up a bit but I have to drag my self back to reality.

I am so glad I found this forum and while I am sorry for all of you guys struggles it sure taught me a lot. I thought that 3 months was the max it took to get approved boy was I wrong Tongue

Jamy, I got a feelin that you are gonna here something real soon. You are always positive and that will assist you in the little wait. I hope we ALL get good news soon but that is in God's hands and his heart. Even if they ask for the originals that will be a sign that they are getting close, doesn't seem to speed the process any by sending them in with the app. Those that sent the original still had to wait forever to see an update.
