so i heard myself halfmoon, hope u r keeping the faith too, and not worrying too much
Thanks DG - to be honest, I thought I would be the weaker one but it appears as our days are counting down to getting the final approval I'm constantly having to keep his spirits up. I've been focused on keeping busy in a productive way of course and it's been a good journey so far but whenever I hear his voice, I can tell he's restless and anxious for us to be together. I tell him that until that day comes, we just have to make the best of everyday and that for now, we're just a phone call away and not to think about the distance. So one great thing we are focusing on right now is our 1 year anniversary on Aug. 10th. I won't be there for that date as my work schedule didn't permit but will be down there on Aug. 25 to Sept 9. He's planning for a really big anniversary event and we will be renewing our vows in the same church we got married. Hey I think it would be great if we each could put up one of our wedding pictures on a post. Would love to put a face behind all these words of inspiration! But I don't know how to? |

There will plenty of work when you arrive Dainty Girl. In the begining, you may have to take on something that may not pay the greatest but once you take on that first job, you'll get exposure to work life up here, meet ppl and most importantly gain confidence as an employed Canadian and then work towards your next position. So don't worry about anything else but rather focus on what you want.  |

Thank you - really appreciate your kinds words. I was speaking to one of my really great friends the other day and I had a light bulb moment. I said to her, girl God made women to be by their side and keep them strong. He did not create men to keep us women strong because we are made strong! I then went on to say, Eve was taken from Adam's rib. Ribs protect the vital organs in our body as you know, they are the strongest yet very fragile bones in our body but nonetheless a shield. Explains the reasons why we are the softer of the two but yet the stronger ones. I'm not so much a religious person but have a high belief in our Creator.  |

OMG FAITH JUST WALKED INTO MY DOORS AT WORK JUST NOW
Since the beginning of our relationship I have always told my husband about my love and commitment to jamaica and how one day I would like to give back to my homeland one day .. I see there are so many people there in need and would love to help one day but don't know how to start ....and he always told me the same thing baby God put us together for a reason and one day we will be able to find a way to help.....
Well my work place ships chocolates and one of our clients is a company that does chocolates for fund raising and schools...churches etc... a customer comes to pick up and she and I started talking only to find out this lady is doing what I have always wanted to do she has a foundation that builds and supplies schools .... Her husband lives in Jamaica and they are building a school in ST.Ann Bay .... Wow I am soo excited I am checking them out right now to see if this is a legit foundation (because sad to say there are soo many people who deal with fraud and make organisations that are actually doing good look bad.) please pray with me that this is an actual positive foundation that I can join and lend my support (fingers crossed) ....this would make me sooo happy to fulfill my dream to help make peoples lives better

Gotcha, I was thinking of the Rogers head quarters on Bloor. I'm at Yonge/Bloor.
I don't work at the Rogers Centre I work close by the Rogers Centre, my office is on Front Street |
