I wish that they would have given us the option to do the DNA in the first letter, cause i feel like they just wasted my time.  so i guess the wait is still on for me. and i have no idea if they even started the RCMP check,, which takes soooooo long

My husband lived in Canada from 2006. He was removed from Canada after a failed refugee claim and then the PRAA. I married him last year April and he was sent back to JA Sept 2011. I submitted the spousal sponsorship forms in Oct. JA started processing his file April 5. He rec'd a request from Kingston to go do his fingerprints on April 20, he went to Kingston at a police station and did the prints on Apr 25. I emailed Kingston and two weeks ago they confirmed they received the fingerprints and its en route to Canada. So it's been just over a month since he brought his fingerprints to Kingston. I called the RCMP and they said it takes 4 wks to process the prints,I guess it all depends on when the prints arrive and is inputted into their system.

does any one have any experience or idea of how to get a DNA test done in Jamaica, my husband received a letter from KG  today  a DNA test for his son

Is this DNA test process new. I'm shocked that they're doin this now. Immigration is getting serious

the dna test is not a new procedure and not everyone who sponsor's their child is requested to do one, the reason they requested the dna test in our case is because my  husband's name was added to his son's birthcertificate only a few years ago.

Well for me I have some news to share with you all
Imagine my surprise yesterday when I went to my dr yesterday for my follow up of my ultrasound and he kept using the word “they” I didn't even clue in until I saw hubbys face .....talk about a LOL moment the look on his face was price less
But yes it official we are having twins
I feel blessed and am greatful to God that I get to go through this time and have hubby by my side through the whole process....wow talk about adjusting I started off this year living just me and baby girl and by the end of the year there will be 6 of us .......

OK, so last minute change of plans.  I thank everyone for the traveling prayers, but save them until next week, as my uncles and my Grandmother decided to surprise me with a visit before I leave and her arrival is not until Monday!    So, with some scrambling, I now arrive Wed, LOL.  I would not miss it for the world, though, she is 79 this year, and I am the only granddaughter she has born to the family.  So, it's a good thing I am living out of suitcases at the moment, nothing to unpack or repack, haha!

If I missed anyone, I just want to say, happy landings, happy reunions, and productive waiting and I will post an update chart with our newest newbie, Akima, up next!  Please do stick and stay, and welcome!

Thanks, tintin79!   I am sure I will be happy wherever I live, as long as it is with my husband.  In my life I have moved so often, I have learned along the way that it is not so much where I live, as who I live with, that makes me like or dislike a particular residence.  I have learned to be content in many places, I am taking all the lessons learned with me to Canada and hope to make another successful home there.

Anada, yes they will be returned to you, I got mine along with our photos.
