Good Morning everyone,
This is my first time posting but i've been following up on everyones status since last July. I must say that I have become addicted to this forum. You guys are full of vibes so I finally decided to join in.
Well I am presently sponsoring from Quebec.my application was filed on the 7th of november and I received sponsorship approval on the 14th of January. I am presently waiting for my csq. hopefully that won't take too long. Not sure if the csq request will delay my application though. I sure hope not.
I can finally now say(with a big smile on my face) congrats to all that have made it and to those who are waiting like myself just keep the faith our turn is just around the corner........

Im just curious to know being that kGN recieve the land fee payment yesterday.Would they be able to prepare me a visa be fore the 9th cause i am abit worried about the expired date witch is the 9th.So that means i have to be in canada before that date.However is there anyone on here that have ever being in situation like this before.just curious to know cause everything is so short.

Witty- yay yer time is almost over. I know with our situation they did everything in less than a week. So yes it is possible, make sure yer phone is in hand at all times, cuz they called mr proper after hours when we thought the place was closed. Well i am just checking in on you guys, i am here and enjoying the very cold weather, it'sa good thing I have my husband to keep me some kind of warm, lol.  I really love being here and home, but honeymoon and vacation time has come to an end, i need to find me a job and it does not seem to be such an easy task.  i have been busy getting the required documents and such.  I have been sending out resume and application letters like crazy, but i have not received any calls yet, although its a bit early.

its just that i dont like sitting down, i get a bit cranky when i can't ear my own money, lol.

Does anyone know the delay of a military background check?  Someone had told me it could take up to 12 months sounds a little extreme to me..hubby works for JDF and my little boy keeps asking when will daddy be here.. wish I had a concrete answer for him ...

BIYTC, background checks for military personnel can take a while, it's true.  However, that depends on the military, how quickly they respond to requests for information and where and in what capacity the person served.  In spite of that, it doesn't mean your husband's will necessarily take a year, but at the same time try not to set your mind on the processing times others have had, as you could be disappointed when yours doesn't work out within the same time-frame.  Military and other government service is an extenuating factor in slowing processing times, so try not to give yourself a short timeline to work with.
