Nope nothing! Yer lucky you got a response back. I've sent numerous emails and never got a response. Now our medical is about to expire oct 29 and still no word!!! Its very frustrating. May I ask why you sent off your meds so early before sending the application?

Our application was supposed 2 b done n sent off 4 september then my lawyer had emergency surgery ( jus my luck) n everything got messed up..... When u emailed them numerous times they never got back once??? WTF.... Have u had or ur husband had any mail correspondance??? Oh btw thanks 4 the response

Nope nothing!!!! He had to do further testing and he did it in may, the doctor lied and said she sent it when really she dint!!!!! She jus sent them oct 6th. So now we are looking at a med redo and who knows when that's gonna arrive in the mail!!!! Its so frustrating and I can't wait for it to be over!!!

Trust me its been so stressful and when all is said and done this doctor will hear from us and be reported!!! She took his money and lied to our MP, us, DHL. She's gonna get busted very soon!! Makes me wonder how many others she's done this too. Taking ppls hard earned money and not fully completing a job that she was hired for!

Yup I hear yuh there. My fingers are crossed but I'm not getting my hopes up yet!! Everytime I have I have been let down so I'd rather say a med redo has to be done that way I won't get stressed or hurt anymore! I'm sure you will hear something soon. Make sure hubby keeps chkin the mail for the med redo form

Im thinking the way to go is just to file for the Permanent Resident just to save time and money.

Can anyone explain the part on the app. where you indicate if the sponsor is not approved that they continue with the app?

You need 10 messages before you can PM.

If you choose to proceed with the application if the sponsor is found ineligible, the application will almost certainly be denied at the visa office, because there must be a qualifying sponsor for a family class application.  However, you can then appeal the denial, provided that by the time the visa office has made the decision, whatever made the sponsor ineligible has been dealt with.  On success of the appeal, the visa office would be directed to continue processing the application.

If you choose to withdraw the application, the entire package is returned to the sponsor, along with all fees paid except for the $75.00.  There is no right of appeal in this situation, and the sponsor must ensure he deals with whatever made him ineligible to sponsor before re-filing the application.

Most persons choose the second option, to have their package returned to them if they are found ineligible to sponsor, rather than have the application sent on to the visa office for denial, and then proceeding with an appeal later.  It's up to you.

 @  Danielle...I think the PR is the easiest way to get thru...BUT that just my experience!..I feel like the visitors was a big waste of time. No visas not giving away anymore like they used to. Everyone in my husbands fam has been denied, U.S visas, Canadian etc...even U.K...all of them without interview, and no criminal past whatsoever. It's very frustrating.

Applying for a TRV would perhaps be more likely to succeed if the Canadian spouse was residing full-time in Jamaica.  Once the Canadian spouse resides full-time in Canada, it is highly unlikely to succeed, as the automatic assumption on the part of CIC is that you are coming to be with your spouse, and nothing will persuade you to leave. 

Immigration is a hot-button issue for many developed nations right now.  Many of them find themselves awash in illegal immigrants they can't get out of the country, segments of the "native" populations of these countries are very vocal in their resentment of immigrant residents, whether legal or not, and many persons in immigrant populations do nothing to endear themselves to the "native" population by failing to integrate into the society they move to while insisting that their culture and traditions be respected and accomodated and even promoted at the expense of the local culture and traditions.  Let's not even talk about the immigrants who get involved in criminal activities, because it isn't even necessary for them to do that these days in order for them to find themselves resented. 

The result of all this is that where it used to be hard at times to get a visitor's/temporary visa, nowadays it is bordering on the impossible unless you belong to specific groups, or you are willing to flout immigration laws and other laws and use "bandoloo" methods to immigrate.
