Morning forum family

As usual I realize I owe you guys alot of thank yous. Being that I live in Jamaica...I kinda go on with normal life probably more than some because I'm with my husband and therefor probably don't pay quite as much attention to immigration as many of you. I would have TOTALLY MISSED the IMM 5604 form for my daughter if you guys had not pointed it out...so thank you very very much!!

I am about to send it in...can anyone tell me how to send it in? Where to send it in? And if there is a fee and if so where to pay it?

Hey girl morning,

For the form just send it to KGN, or you can wait until they request it as they will if your daughter is marked on there as accompanying; that is not something they will overlook but if you wanna be proactive send it to KGN with your file info on it so they can update your file.

So there is no fee? That would rock my world!!

So glad you always on the ball Ked!! Between you and Charlie...always quick replies which was great because I was totally sitting here refreshing the page obessively so I can get this taken care of. Thanks!

Im soo not waiting for them to ask for it. I'm getting two official copies done of the same form..sending one...holding onto the other in case they misplace it. Don't take no chances.

And with the way Kingston rolls with some people....its better to not wait in my opinion because that just means more delays.

for sure no fee unless your notary charges you which they are not to charge and you are correct get 2 copies I have a copy of our application so does my husband and we will shred once we are done with everything

Better to send it and let them have it and they can start looking into it from now which would be great once they get around to your file

Oh ya I hear ya Ked....copies are a must. I did a couple copies of our application and have a copy plus photo copies all filed away. I must have drove my hubby and mother nuts while I was doing the application. I am very OCD about these things. I think I likely color coded, tabbed, and arranged everything far more than humanely nessessary!! The IO's must think I have issues LOL!! But hey it makes their job easier...and I breathe easier knowing whatever they lose I have another!!

Ok one last question...hubby was just going to drive the paper and a copy straight down to Kingston and hand it in. Does this work? And if so does anyone know for sure where to drop it off?

And if not..how the heck do I sent this baby in!! I just want it sent...and off my hands!!

You won't be let in the embassy without an appt and updating your file is not considered priority so just mail it in to them you may also wanna scan a copy and email it to them and advise them a hard copy is on its way but the preferred method is mail or fax they say pick 1 method and stick to it so I don't think if you fax, email and mail it to them they will be happy so just pick 1 and do it I say fax as its better

Ok...my brain is like mushy this morning because I just got through updating a work file that seriously confused me from every angle and zapped all my brain power to nothing!! LOL...so bear with me....where do I mail the paper into...or how do I mail....believe it or not I never use the mail system in Jamaica. I just drive stuff in personally to avoid it taking six years or getting lost. I was warned the mail system is less than on top of things. So if anyone can give me specific " for dummies" details on how to mail this in...and how to email it in including the address and the mail company to use...and the email....I will build a shrine in your honour!! LOL

thanks

nope once you address it to the correct address if you wanna include a cover letter you can but that address is for all things immigration so as long as they can identify you which is by you putting your file # you are good
