Mrs P, I don't even know what to say now.  If that doctor is so well-informed that POS is behind on medicals reviews 6-12 months, how the h-e-double hockey sticks does he not know when he sent Mr P's blood work?  So, he did what with this knowledge, sat on Mr P's results because, in his opinion they wouldn't need it for another 6-12 months anyways???  That is some %$# @ .

Mr P needs to use a different doctor.  This one is outside the pale.  Please, please, please write a complaint letter about him detailing all of this, and send it to KG with a copy to your MP.  Whoever regulates these people needs to know about this shoddy and shabby business.

Tell Mr P he can borrow mine.

Jus makes me so mad cuz this was all they were waiting for to issue the visa, now its not gonna happen till after the new year!!!!! Trust me when this is all done a letter of complaints will be going to a few offices. I have been on them since july and jus now they doing something. I'm telling you some ppl so crooked!!!  Does anyone know how long it'll take to get a med redo in the mail since its what we should be expecting. His meds expire oct 29

Mrs P, don't wait for the med re-do letter just because this doctor tells you so.  I think we all know by now whatever he says is not worth the paper it is written on.

Mr P needs to go NOW and do a medical somewhere else, a different DMP.  Then take his receipt as proof he has re-done it, and send it to KG ASAP with his file number and other details.

Just get on it and do it.  The only difference between a re-do request form and a regular one is that the form would come with his file # and photograph attached.  Just have him take the new pics, go to a different doctor and git er done.  This has gone on long enough.

Charlie, my husband has to redo as well and we are not going to wait for a request that's for damn sure!!!! Where do you get the form to go do yoour medicals and since he has to redo police records, was there a form and I can't remember how many copies of photos he needs.

Does anyone know the adrees in MoBay to do precords? It feels like years ago when we did it all initially...

Mrs P, I can't recall anyone else doing it without the letter, however, I can't recall anyone else in your situation, either! 

RG, the form for the medical is Appendix C of the Regional Guide.  There is a form to fill out for the PCC, but if he is doing it out of Kingston, the first thing he does is pay at any Tax Collectorate, he just needs to tell the cashier what he wants.  When he gets the receipt, he goes to the police station, where he will get the forms to fill in, and have his fingerprints done. The police station is the Summit Police station in Montego Bay.  They process records requests Tues, Wed and Thurs between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

RG, for the medical it's 4 photos.

SQ - I don't know if you've looked lately, but the Regional Guide for the Caribbean now includes the IMM 5604, which is the consent form to be completed by a non-accompanying parent of a minor.  This form will give your daughter's biological mother's written consent for her father to take her out of the country.  It needs to be signed by both of you, and her.  Her signature must be witnessed by a notary public, and will prevent any issues with immigration over the fact that he does not have a court-ordered custody agreement.

I'm really starting to panick after reading Mrs Propers stuff about the medical people being behind six or twelve months. If thats the case...then we likely have a very long time to wait and meds to eventually re do.

I'm extremly pissed off about this....how the heck do you get that far behind. Immigration doesnt slow down so if they can't manage its darn well their responsibility to hire more staff or do something to get it under control. This is freaking ridiculous!!

If you have your file number, then I suggest you go ahead and git er done.  Send the fax copy, but remember to send the original to KG as well to be placed on your file (keep a copy for yourselves). 

As for the delay in the medical reviews, I am taking what that doctor said with a truckload of salt.  There is NO logical way for POS to be reducing their own timeline by 3 months with a backlog of 6-12 months on medical reviews.  Is there a delay on the medicals?  Yes, there is no denying that.  Is it 6-12 months?  I call BS on that.  At most, the delay is equivalent to the extra 3 months added to KG's timeline since the start of this year, possibly less, like about 4-8 weeks.  6-12 months? No.  He is talking out of his nether regions, and trying to deflect blame for his part in this screw-up of the Mr P's information.

Charlie I agree I think she's phony as well. My hubby is really worried to redo the meds cuz he said the last letter he got they assigned him the DMP saying he had to go back to the first one that did his medical. So he's worried they will do the same that's why he doesn't want to go and do it again on his own. I on the other hand am thinking *censored word* jus do it!!!!! We can't waste no more time on this. The med will expire and it looks like if it does take 3 mths it won't be till after the new year we hear something. That seems so far away and is so depressing!!!

I hope that this doctor is just a idiot....although I'm so sorry for you guys Mrs Proper...this is sooo very very unfair to you. I'm feeling stressed for you because I can only imagine how this feels!! Because if this doctor is not an idiot...which she likely is...it would be alot of chaos coming up for EVERYONE!! I guess the good news is..if the doc is a idiot...a better doctor might be able to make this go much quicker for you!! Propers....between you and Ebony....been waiting to long!!

I just don't understand how something as unbelievably important as immigration can have such a chaotic system. Logically speaking it should be the most informed and organized process...considering if its not...who gets acrossed the borders because of it!!

I think a perfect system would be electronical...and secure...where every time they look at a page or go through and check something off the list...we get updated. We really should know exactly where we are at at all times...and immigration should know the status of things at all times when they check.

Obviously they can't personlize our files to much with the workload...but if it was electronical...any time they needed to know anything about our file...one click and there it is...fully informative!!

Cuz this is ridiculous!! Money is getting thrown around...things done and then re done....stuff lost....and to them its whatever...but to the clients this is major. A lost medical, or paper having to be re done could be money a single mom waiting for her husband just doesn't have!!

Utterly ridiculous the process is this cluttered and confused!!
