Hey Mrs. Proper what did you do with your little one in regards to tonsils being so swollen and inflamed. I do childrens tylenol and warm tea with honey and things like that....I'm really against antibiotics and am a very natural minded person. I don't want to overload a child who has some allergy and sinus issues with to much of that stuff and compromise her immune system. And lawd knows Jamaica behind in medical practices. Still telling people to lay in bed to heal sprains n ting when movement cures them faster...and simple stuff gets you six different types of antibiotics...not my child...no sir!! So I was curious what you did for your little one? It sucks seeing them so sore and sick!!

And thanks CharlieD...I'm gonna owe you alot of thanks at the end of this process. You've been one of my biggest supporters on here...and usually the first one to respond with encouragement...tee hee maybe you just are on here the most I dunno...but I thank you for it...you rock girl...seriously!!

Good morning everyon!!!

SQ- when my lil guy had his tonsils out I really dint have a choice, he would stop breathing at night because the 2 tonsils were what they called "kissing" they were so large that they touched eachother. He would wake up every night out his sleep because he would stop breathing. Finally now since he was born 6 years ago he sleeps thro the night! its funny that you say that about ja cuz I agree. If my kids get so much as a runny nose or cough mr proper says they need to get meds, where as here they will tell you to let your immune system handle it. Which is true because the more meds you take the more your immune system relys on them which to my understanding will make it more weak. So we jus try to disinfect everything here to keep the household under control if one does get sick.

I hope everyone has enjoyed their week so far, our lil girl is feeling much better minus the cold, but she's back to school this morning

Hopefully today we get some good news cuz the silence s killing us now!!! And the countdown begins to his meds expiry!! :S Come on KGN and POS let's give some ppr's today, including mr proper lol

Morning, morning, morning! 

Mrs P, SQ hope the little ones are getting better.  When they are that young, I agree with letting them run the course of illnesses without too much interference.  Their bodies bounce back much faster, and they build up immunities to various germs.  Whisking a child off to doctor at the first sign of a sniffle is not something I am used to in my family, but I see it more often nowadays.  Then again, I also see kids nowadays with illnesses I didn't know of children contracting when I was a child!

Being here keeps me sane about the process, SQ, LOL.  I am reminded that this is not something I am doing in isolation, and others understand some of the frustration I feel as it goes on.  I am also reminded to count my blessings, others have been separated way longer than I have, so when I feel too much like whinging I remember their example and suck it up, buttercup, LOL.

Have a great day everyone, and make those weekend plans, Fry-Day is just around the corner!  And as my husband always says, don't sweat the petty stuff, pet the sweaty stuff!

Hi forum family! I'm back reluctantly but had an incredible time with my husband. I miss him already thank god time went slow and we cherished evry single moment together. Our medicals etc expire next week which is disappointing, however I am hopeful we will hear something- ANYTHING soon.

Welcome back, RG!  I'm sure the visit, though short, was good for you!  Short but sweet, as the saying goes.

Medicals expiring here, medicals expiring there, and POS doing Lord-alone-knows-what with the re-medicals they receive and KG, well, they are just quiet.  Come on, KG, make some calls so some people can make some noise!! NEXT already!!!

Does anyone know where I can get info on which ports of entry allow flagpoling? I am in British Columbia.

Oh yes!!! An update, woohoo!!! Congrats masskendawta.

You'll want to use a major port of entry between the US and Canada.  The immigration officers there will likely be more familiar with the procedures.

A big congrats MKD, the best for you is Boundary Bay, just out side of Vancouver. It is used by many so they will be in the loop of flagpoling

Finally an update!!! Congrats masskendawta!!!!

Canuck- my lil girl woke up feeling much better so she went to school. I disinfected my whole house today in hopes that noone else gets it!!

Masskendawta- did you have to do a med redo?? If so when did they send you the letter? Ours is coming up in october and I'm pretty sure he will have to redo so I'm jus looking at time frames. Thanks

Thanks Kuma I hope yer right!! We both need that call asap. Mr proper is really down and frustrated today, feel so bad for him, he keeps saying "well another week and still nothing" he says he has no luck and he's never gonna get here I wish that call would come to make things better for us and our family. We've been so stressed lately that this would be amazing news to get!!!

Mrs P give Mr P our best regards.  You've heard it so many times, I'm sure you guys might be getting tired of it by now...but hold the faith.  No matter if the dawn looks like it is delaying in arriving, it comes eventually.  And when it does, it is bright and beautiful and the memory of the darkness fades until it is forgotten.

Here's a little Canada humour for everyone:

One day, Satan was out for a walk through Hell, making sure things were running smoothly. When he got to the Lake of Fire, he saw a man sitting by the lake, relaxing in a lawn chair, and not sweating or looking uncomfortable at all. Perplexed, Satan approached the man and asked:

 "Young man, are you not hot or bothered by this heat?" The man replied, "Oh no, not at all. I lived in downtown Toronto and this weather is just like a typical July day in the city." Satan thought that this was not a good sign, so he rushed back to his office and turned up the heat in Hell another 100 degrees. Satisfied with himself, he again returned to the Lake of Fire to check on the young man.

 When he got there, the man was showing a few beads of sweat, but that was all. Again Satan asked the Torontonian, "Are you hot and uncomfortable yet?" The young man looked up and said, "No, the temperature is just like a hot August day in Toronto. I'm coping it just fine."

 Satan decided that he had to do something drastic to make this man's stay in Hell unpleasant. He went back to his office, turned the heat all the way down, and then turned up the air conditioning. The temperature in Hell quickly dropped well below zero. As he approached the Lake of Fire, he noticed that it was now frozen over. He also saw the Torontonian jumping up and down wildly, waving his arms and yelling into the air.

 "This looks promising!" thought Satan. Coming closer, he finally made out what the man was shouting: "The Leafs have won the Stanley Cup! The Leafs have won the Stanley Cup!"
