This letter was sent to the School Principal's office after the school had sponsored a luncheon for seniors. An elderly lady received a new radio at the lunch as a door raffle prize and was writing to say thank you.

Dear Lions Bay School,


God bless you for the beautiful radio I won at your recent Senior Citizens luncheon. I am 87 years old and live at the West Vancouver Home for the Aged. All of my family has passed away so I am all alone. I want to thank you for the kindness you have shown to a forgotten old lady.

My roommate is 95 and has always had her own radio; but, she would never let me listen to it. She said it belonged to her long dead husband, and understandably, wanted to keep it safe.

The other day her radio fell off the nightstand and broke into a dozen pieces. It was awful and she was in tears.
She asked if she could listen to mine, and I was overjoyed that I could tell her to frig off.

Thank you for that wonderful opportunity.

Good day everyone! my last few days, before hubby gets here, so much to do! We are both getting very excited and overwhelmed, hubby's mom, had a stroke yesterday morning, she is stable and they are doing test today, hubby's heart will be heavy on friday knowing he is leaving her, all we can do is hope and pray that she makes a full recovery. i cant imagine how he must feel, all i can do is be supportive and leand a ear. Hoe we have a good week ont he forum, its so quiet!!!! lets get the thunder rolling!!

Hey Irving!! 4 sleeps to go, can you believe it?!  The process you started with so much hope and anxiety in January ends in a few days.  I am sorry to hear of your Mom-in-law's troubles, I hope for both your sakes she makes a full recovery speedily.  It will be difficult for him to be so far away and worrying about her.  Have a great time making your final preparations, and happy landings to Mr Irving on Friday!

Wow irving only 4 days left!!! Time went by so fast, seems like yesterday you were saying he got the call I'm very sorry to hear of your mother in law, I pray she has a full recovery and everything turns out alright. So... Are you all ready??? Lol I'm sure you are with all the painting you have been doing. One day it'll be my turn and as much as I hate painting I'm looking forward to it for that reason lol
Well I hope everyone had a great weekend. My was pretty good, my lil guy won the championship for soccer and he got a medal and trophy. Outdoor soccer is done, now onto indoor soccer starting oct 1st.
Let's go KGN and POS wake up already, we are waiting for some more updates!!! And I'm waiting on that ppr!!!!

Rain!  Almost two hours worth of it, with lightning and thunder. 

Hey, KG, wake up!  Last week was the holiday, no more holidays until October.  At which point they get two, Thanksgiving and Heroes Day.  Am I the only person who wishes I worked at KG too?!

Good evening everyone. Well today my MP called me back. Saying she spoke to I would assume trinidad and they haven't added the medical to the file yet. She said since its past the 90 days they are looking into it. They asked for the doctors name, date of further med re-do and the date of when it was sent which was may 30 the doctor said. So I'm pretty sure its been lost and that's why we haven't heard anything as of yet. If that's the case and they ask for it I'm hoping that they request the doctor fax a copy of it in, because if he has to re-do it and mail it in then his medical gonna expire and he will have to do that all over again! So frustrating. Its kind of bitter sweet really. I'm so happy my mp is doing something and when my hubby gets here I will be sending a thank you card for everything they have done. Cuz without their help I think we'd still be in the dark! I'm praying extra hard tonight that this week we get the call saying they have it and they want mr proper to bring In His passport! My fingers, toes and arms are crossed lol

Mrs P, all I can say is POS going on bad now.  They are nonchalant about the medicals to the point of being lackadaisical.  They just really don't seem to care, and I believe someone needs to point this out.  I find it virtually incomprehensible that somehow POS managed to improve their processing time from 17 months to 14, a full 3 months' reduction in processing time, yet somehow they continue to sit on medical results!!!  They need to be complained about, loudly and stridently.  If their position/burden/responsibility as Regional Medical Centre is too much for them, perhaps this should be transferred to a less-burdened office within the region.

Charlie yer so right! I'm so fed up with them that I swear if nothing happens this week I'm going to push it further. Letter sent april 20 and still nothing almost 5 mths later?!?! This is absurd!!! I don't care what they do or how they do it, but they kept us from our anniversary, our babys first day of school, if they have a heart they won't keep him from her 4th birthday. He's missed so much already that enough is enough already, plzzzzz POSand KGN give us good news this week!!!

I'm glad your MP has been a positve experience so far!
How is everyone? Im super excited, in lala land really! Mom is doing ok today she was able to walk and use her hand, and her speech was clear when we spoke. Hubby is feeling good about recovery, she was supposed to have a test today but still no ambulance to take her, and without it.. she would be waiting in a waiting room all day.. ahhgg! So we wait! but "we" all are so good at that!!
My house is slightly upside down.. have a lil work ahead of me!
i was driving today and had this surreal moment when i realized this was over.. and i felt a cry for joy moment.. i cant wait for who is all waiting to feel what I feel!
