CONGRATULATIONS ANADA!!!Yayyy! I knew I felt some good news in the air!!! Every bit of news is worth celebrating for sure!!! I know Kingston has more to shell out, there's still 2 more days left in the week...Let's Gooooooooo Kingston!!! Happy Birthday to Jamgirl's baby boy  and happy travelling FLK! Hmm, don't think I will return to JA for another 3 months or so due to financial constraints. My last trip I went for 6 months without seeing my boo and that was really hard to handle. But I really hope that I won't have to travel down again and he will be travelling here to Canada for good b4 October. Oh Lord, remember me!!!

I have a few questions guys please can you help.
Once my step daughter gets here will she automatically be covered under OHIP? What do I need to do to get her card? also will her PR card just automatically come or do I need to apply for that too?
Not sure if things are same like hubby

OHIP coverage kicks in after 90 days of residence in ON. There is a form to fill in and take to Service ON, if she is over 15 1/2, she has to go along. If not, then as her parent you can do it for her. Things will be the same as for hubby, her first PR card will arrive in the mail. You know what amazes me... So hubby did his medicals late november and it was sent to vo. I had sent my application to the wrong address and had to resend it but in speaking with the vo, they told me that my hubby's medicals was received and already in system... So how come now that I have already been approved and my application is back in Kingston, they can't update faster..
Not even a pinch... Not even a medicals update and it's been over a month since my file was sent to vo.
Ya think they have to do me like that? Lol
Anyone else who received approval in June hear anything yet or had their ecas updated since?

Thanks Charlie No, she actually has to land in order for the process to be initiated to send it off. It takes about 46 business days (8-9 weeks on the calendar) for it to come. I am still waiting for mine, ETA is about the second week in August. Oh, morning everyone! Cute pics, Jamgirl, love the one with his face in the bowl, haha! |
