and another question what outer possibilities why the need to keep the pp and bc.I was told by a friend in canada that they need to send to canada for a background check what you guys think?

That is correct, as you were in Canada they are also entitled to request an RCMP check. From what I understand, these can take up to 4-6 months to be done and returned to the requesting embassy.

I was just told by my consultant guys that if immigration wasn't going to give me the visa they will give me back my pp and bc same day after the interview.and they dont need your passport and birth certificate for further processing if the wherent going to denied you.but i mention the rcmp check CHARLEY and she say thats a posssibility.and she told me there is never a case she herd of kgn hold a pp and issue no visa,so what you guys think?

@ Witty Why don't you try contacting the embassy via phone or fax or even sending a CSE to inquire on the status of your PR application? As everyone else has mentioned, keeping your pp was a good sign. Don't worry!

Witty calm down.
There is nothing you can do right now. You just have to wait. We all have to anxiously wait to here from Kingston. Everyone have already told you a lot of great advice and gave you a lot of encouragement. I know you are anxious, but just keep calm and pray to God. When the time is right you will here from them.

Hey all...well we are still waiting for our passports to be returned...but not worried at all because they've only had them like a week!! My husband is still watching eagle eyed for the DHL truck which to my intense amusement has been in our area more than ever lately!! My poor husband dwl dwl dwl!!!
We are anxious though because our family all has flights booked and is preparing to be over here in Jamaica for Christmas...so we still hoping and praying they give us nuff time so I can start booking flights and sorting out our details and the family can still be here. We have so much stuff to sell off or give away...and most of it is furniture...so with the family coming..and us not knowing how long we have...its a wierd position to be in. We kinda stuck as far as being able to tie stuff up and get everything packed!! I'm rooting for them to give us lots of time so I can exploit my dear family to help with packing dwl!! Shameless I know!!!
Anyways...I hope there are many wonderful updates this week!! Ebony, CharlieD, lostwithoutu...and so many others because my fried brain would take an hour to think of everybody...I hope you all get much deserved updates or passport calls this week!! Let the Kinston Christmas spirit begin!!

Morning everyone! I hope everyone is having a good Tuesday morning so far. SQ- that is too funny! Any day that truck comes in your driveway your husband is going to leap over obstacles to sign for that package, LOL! LWU - it depends on how long your husband was in Canada for. If he wasn't there for more than 6 months, their doing an RCMP check may not account for the extended processing time, and it's just KG doing their thing. If he was there more than 6 months, then yes, they might be doing a check on his time there. Come on, KG, I know you've got updates for me, make those calls!!! Let's go, KG, let's GO!!! Come on folks, don't be shy, post those updates. |
