Hello everyone,
There is a friend who's husband is a drop out of University since 2005. He was half way in his studies in Medicine, 3rd year to be precise. He has all his academic transcript from the university stating his progress and he seem to have performed well. will this transcript give his wife any points in their application? or nothing?

His wife has called me 10 times asking for this because I am processing my cic application presently,so she thought I will be more experience. your replies will be very helpful.
thanks.

I don't think so, as points are given only for completed Education.
However, if he has "A one-year diploma, trade certificate or apprenticeship and completed at least 12 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies" he may be able to get 3 points for adaptability.Anything less than that, no chance, I think.

My personal idea is she will get "3" points atleast from her husband. If her husband completed university etc, maximam "5" are that she can have in Adaptability factor.

Not really he completed secondary school or whatever, but did not get a university degree.  From www.cic.gc.ca

Spouse or common-law partner's level of education

    * Secondary school (high school) diploma or less: 0 points
    * A one-year diploma, trade certificate, apprenticeship or university degree, and at least 12 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies: 3 points
    * A two or three-year diploma, trade certificate, apprenticeship or university degree, and at least 14 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies: 4 points
    * A master's degree or PhD and at least 17 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies: 5 points
