Just the receipt or the photocopy of application of extension of visa

I have applied for an extension of my visa from Study Visa to Visitor since it will expire before I could mail in my Permanent Residency application. Do i include a photocopy of the application or just the receipt of the payment for the visa when I mail in my application? Please help as I have to mail it out as soon as possible or my police clearance will expire soon. Thank you
