Just got my LMO positive answer

My visa expired on march 16th, on week before it happened we (my lawyer) applied for an extension. We just got a positive answer LMO for a new position with the same employer...can i go to the border and issue my new WP there??
I really need to go back to Mexico but I donīt want to leave the country without my work permit.
I hope i explain clearly my concern, and I really appreciate your help.
