Usually the status will change when they requested the passport and they affix the Visa. You will receive an email to pick up the passport and that's when you notice the changes in ECAS take place.
Congratulations!!!

Our file was sent to the local visa office a month ago, but there's not even a word from them. Do you think they wait for medicals to send the AOR letter?

Sorry Sarah I thought you are in your second stage.
After reading your email your are approved only as a sponsor.
Now it's the second stage of the application which is the hardest...
Good luck with the process and hope you receive a positive response...

hello, MARLENA.
Our medical was sent with the rest of the papers, but it's just the forms from doctor that we passed the medical exam. But I thought they will request and  wait till the actual medical results will be sent to them from that office they were sent to by doctor

I'm referring to my case again.
My husband went and did his medical while he was in Canada on a visit and after we got married just to give enough time to be received when we sent our application
I guess he passed the Medical February 17 but the results wasn't sent before sometimes in March (approximate date March 17) and like you mentioned the doctor office sent the results directly to CIC-M.
I have sent his application April 1st, 2009 to CIC-M only including a receipt of his Medical exam so I'm assuming by that time the result was received because when they transferred his file to the visa office abroad they updated ecas to let us know they also had received his medical.

our case is a bit complicated. my kids results were sent to London, and mine to Ottawa, as I passed my medical in the US and my kids in their country of residence (and mine too).
so I am pretty confused now, how my visa office can get my results from Ottawa?

Ottawa will forward everything with the sponsorship application to the visa office abroad. They'll hold on to your application until medical result is received but what I don't understand why they haven't done the same for your kids?Huh

the matter is that kids had medical exams in the country of their residence that is in Europe. But I was in the US that time.

The only way for you to know when ecas status for PR change to be read in process. As long it's not updated you have to assume your file is not received and u need to do some follow up. Again that's my opinion.

hello,
could you please advise what they actually write in AOR letter? do they mention any file number? in case they do, whom that file number is assigned - to the sponsor or to the sponsored?
thank you

I sent mine in June and got a approval in July. My case was sent to Demascus mid july.
as for file number, they never sent my wife a letter confirming they have recieved it. I was able to get a file number when I called mississauga and asked about my status, she gave me a file number so I can check online.

now we wait....tick tock tick tock

We received notice that our case was sent from the Buffalo office to Los Angeles.  It was sent on Sept 2nd.  Anyone else have their case sent to Los Angeles or have a clue where to check for processing times on that office?

Thanks and good luck to everyone out there!

Mine got sent to Detroit. I believe the processing times are the same as Buffalo and they transfer it to help them meet that timeline.

I'm nervous now, is it going to be another 4 months after it reaches detroit?
