Sadika is in May list. Her DD got charged on Aug 6th but the bank could not inform her still Aug 18th. If you are using the same bank, expect some delays..
i had applied CIO on 27 april 2010 from india by DHL,4 MAY IT REACHED HALIFAX.DD encashed 6 aug which i came to know by bank on 18 august after calling bank daily.now waiting for AOR NEXT WEEK . |

Hello Everybody,
Please help. Here are my details
1. My initial application sent to CIO, Nova Scotia on Feb 2010. NOC 7242.
2. I received a letter with a file no. on March 2010 stating “Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application is being recommended for a final determination of eligibility for processing”. I found at eCAS “Initial review complete” against my file no.
3. My complete document received at ND CHC office on June 2010. I received a letter dated 30th June 2010 stating “your application received on 23rd June 2010” along with a new file no.
4. At eCAS when checked with new file no. I found the status: ”Received by Visa Office”. On expansion it tells “your application transferred to ND office on March 30, 2010. “
My queries:
1. Am I falling in the new system started from 26 June 2010 with a cap on total no. annually or still in the old system?
2. Urgent: How much time it would take further for a call for an interview or medical?
Any successful or in process candidate with NOC 7242 would share his/her experience, please?

hi explorer first of all you are in the wrong thread bud. you got to check it out in feb thread . may be you could find some one who could give you a better explanation coming to your queries i am giving you my best possible answers 1. you will not fall under new category list. 2. you could hear from chc nd in couple of months, asking for more documents or some queries they might arise while your case being reviewed by VO. processing time at CHC ND is from 6-9 months hope this would suffice jockey |

YOu need to apply for FBI clearance not state. You can find the info on the CIC website. If you are in US you are better off to go to local police station and getting fingerprinted for the clearence certificate. You are highly likely to get the AOR since the CC is charged. Good luck. |

The FBI background check can take up to 12 weeks in the USA, so it is best to apply for it soon. They may request police certificates for the states you've lived in for more than 6 months. It is best to just request and have them so in case AOR wants them, then you don't have to loose more time trying to get the PCC. My CC was charged on August 20th, but no AOR yet. However, I know it will be coming, so hang in there. Go to this address for PCC from Wisconsion. .doj.wi.gov/dles/cib/forms/cib/djle250.pdf. Add the www in front. |

Many thanks. One more question if someone can help - an Indian visa consultant told me that for next stage my TRANSCRIPTS for Graduation and Post Graduation is needed. The same documents are needed for my spouse. Anyone knows how to get this from University ? Secondly is it actually needed or Notarised photo copy is sufficient ?
Yes, they will need your transcripts in sealed envelopes from the universities you and your spouse have attended. They want to see the original transcripts and not copies. I ordered mine already, so I'll advise that you work with your university to have them in a sealed envelope, and ready to submit once you receive AOR. Everyone whose CC/DD has been cashed, I strongly recommend that you review the requirements from the websites of the visa offices that will eventually handle your applications, and start getting the requirements ready. |

Most of the University have defined process
Apart from Transcript copies of education certificates, One should also start affidavit/notarized copy of Birth Certificates in English as well... Most of Indians have their Birth certificates issued in respective Local regional languages, So Indians better start notary certified translated copy in English for your Birth Certificates. |
