Hi Karthik,

I strongly believe if you have right job and satisfied with your current role , you have to think twice before going abroad it's not as easy to get your desire job especially in current economic scenario . You never know you might have to take odd survival jobs or if you are lucky enough to get the job in your field , you may have to start from a scratch . There are some odd NOC like mine , where you can get jobs all around the world but even in that we have to compromise by going for one level below of current designation .

After working for almost 5 years abroad , I feel that my ex colleagues who preferred to stay back here in India doing great .

There are always pros and cons , working and settling abroad means a good and healthy life , less corruption , future secure but the big question always remain " will you be able to get your desired job and position"?

It makes me awfully irritating and frustrating whenever I read the posts of FSW applicants of MI 3. Those applicants get their visa in less than a year whereas we people have been waiting for almost 2 years for now. It sometimes makes me think whether we really need to go to Canada with this kind of a waiting period.

I mean, being so much reputed in our country with the kind of job and salary that we have, is it at all that desperate for us to go to a country that hardly recognizes our degree, experience and potential. People say that to get adequate Canadian experience, one should work in restaurants, gas stations etc. Although, I do value dignity of labour, I am literally embarrassed when I think that I need to do such jobs to gain experience. If i have to do such jobs, the purpose of getting a hard earned professional degree gets defeated.

At last, it makes me think ‘have I taken a wrong step in choosing Canada' and better change it before landing in that country and realizing this after wasting a couple of years of career.

I might be discouraging and disheartening, but the fact remains that ‘do we all need this?'

halo seniors ,my ecas status changed to in process on march 28th,on the same day i got an email from ndvo to submit my fbi clearance certificate before 14th of may.otherwise my application will be cancelled.i have applied for the fbi clearance one month before.when i called fbi today, i got the information that it may take one more month to proceed the application.what should i do now?.should i inform ndvo or wait till the fbi clearance to come. seniors please do reply.

Why you never submitted FBI report with your full documents? because it takes good 3 months to get the report also why would they ask at this stage if you already submitted one with your full documents usually they ask for your home country PCC if you have never traveled outside after submitting full documents

With many of you seconding my opinion, i will definitely re-think on immigrating to Canada. As far as i am concerned, my chances of going there are deteriorating day-by-day. I certainly don't want to give-up the life style i currently enjoy here. My son is also put-up in a reputed school here as well. If i continue in India itself for a year or so, i should be paid almost as much i earn in Canada (not literal conversion of CAD but in economic sense). Had i made this deliberation little earlier, i would have at least saved Rs. 100,000 (Rs. 50,000 to consultant and Rs. 50,000 towards initial fees).

Usually i have seen people getting MR in 1-3 months. Inshallah your time is near to get MR. Read a lot of "Hasbi Allahu Wa Naymal Wakeel"  (the closest meaning in my knowledge is "Allâh (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us)"
