Hi Armada, Your case seems to be unique. Because most of the members who got DM is 1 or 2 weeks after Processing line was added. I think it is a system error. Have you got any medical request? Rgds, Krg.
Hi krgkutty, I havent got any medical requests yet.

Just checked my status again We received your application for permanent residence on June 11, 2010. We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on October 1, 2010. Your application was reviewed and we started processing on February 13, 2012. But the status is Decision Made.. I will send them a query today. Carefore thanks again for you help

My applied with 1111 NOC, my application was received at CIC Nova scotia 8th june 2010 and i submitted my supporting documents to london office on february 2011. afterward in june 2011 i recieved a letter from london office and given me a new file number and they mentioned that processing time will be 6 to 8 months to process application. but till now i have not received any response from them.

@ armada,
Since the datail has not elaborated DM,IT SHOULD be ignored.Normally,it states ,"A DECISION HAS BBEN MADE REGARDING YOUR APPLICATION,VISA OFFICE WILL CONTACT YOU ABOUT IT" OR "A LETTER HAS BEEN SENT ON....... ABOUT THE DECISION MADE".
A couple of forum members have also posted information in this regard in diffrent thread. The concerned VO had sent MR to the applicant after a few days of ecas started showing DM.
So,please relax and hope for the best. god luck. God bless all !! parhar51

Hi Lakhwinder ji, The INPROCESS line is without date. I read somewhere in this forum if it is without date then CIC is still checking my documents. When some date will come , only then it will be sure. My NOC is 3215 . I hail from Amritsar. I regularly follow ur posts. These are very informative. you have a deep knowledge regarding all these subjects. I was very disappointed before yesterday about my status like many others. But ur words like a silver line in the clouds. If my status has been changed , ur's will also be definately change within few days because my timeline is day to day same of you. so keep on checking daily. Best of luck . pls keep in touch.

You need to raise the issue with your VO. It is rather strange that you have two immigration file number. In my opinion you need to get clarification from them on which of the immigration file number they will advise you stick to, and let them know that the new one appears of the system. Cheers

Thanks for your comments, actually the second file number was replaced with new one. but against new number does not work to check application status whereas previous is working and shows the status.
Is anything to worried about?

Chop immigration in recessions: think-tank
By Peter O'Neil, Edmonton Journal April 5, 2012 3:02 AM
The decision of successive Canadian governments since the early 1990s to maintain high immigration flows during tough economic times has added to the poor performance of newcomers over the past 30 years, says a study released Wednesday.
"During recessions economic outcomes deteriorate more among recent immigrants than among the Canadian-born," wrote Arthur Sweetman and Garnett Picot in a paper published by the Institute for Research on Public Policy, a Montreal-based think-tank.
Reducing inflow in recessions would likely improve immigrants' overall performance and reduce the damage caused when newcomers to the labour market can't find work for lengthy periods and become disengaged from the labour force, they argue.
The IRPP proposal was one of many to improve the weak economic performance of immigrants relative to other Canadians over the past 30 years.
The authors did note some of these measures have already been initiated.
Immigration Minister Jason Kenney agreed with the report's main thrust but didn't support sharply reducing immigration during recessions.
He added he's trying to balance demands from business, the provinces and opposition parties with critics who say immigration is too high.
He said "the findings confirm what I've been saying" about the struggles of recent immigrants.
Kenney has announced a number of initiatives to pro-mote selecting immigrants who meet the economy's needs.
"This is why - we need transformative change."
Canadian immigration flows once rose and fell based on Canada's economic performance, changing in the late 1980s under Brian Mulroney's Progressive Conservative government.
That government's policy of bringing in roughly a quarter-million immigrants and refugees each year continued under subsequent Liberal governments and under Prime Minister Stephen Harper, despite the recession of 2008-09.
In 2007, when the economy was still robust, immigrants and refugees totalled 236,753.
That figure rose to 247,245 in 2008, 252,174 in 2009, 280,691 in 2010, and 248,660 in 2011.
Fraser Institute economist and former Reform MP Herb Grubel, a longtime critic of high immigration levels, said Canada's immigration policy is driven by politics.
He urged reducing immigration in times of recession and high unemployment, ending the buying of votes started by Prime Minister Mulroney in the 1980s.
