Dear sh_humayun,

Current time-line shows that London Office takes 16 months to finalize the cases. But this information has been revealed on the basis of last tree months statistics and these reflects the best case scenarios only. On an average, we should add 6/8 months with the given time frame.

You can check the link below:

All the best!

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

You may have more than one application in process at the same time. If you already have an application for permanent residence in process there is no restriction against applying for a temporary visa or permit to visit or work or study in Canada.

In general, an applicant may apply for temporary resident visas while waiting for their permanent resident application to be processed. However, all applicants wishing to become temporary residents of Canada must satisfy an officer that they will leave Canada by the end of the temporary period authorized for their stay, that they will not contravene the conditions of admission, and that they are not in a category of persons inadmissible to Canada under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

Each case is decided on its own merits. In reaching a decision, an officer considers several factors, which may include the applicant's travel and identity documents, the reason for travel to Canada and the applicant's contacts there, the applicant s financial means for the trip, and the applicant's ties to his or her country of residence, including immigration status, employment, property, and family ties. In order to issue a temporary resident visa, an officer must be satisfied that the applicant will respect the terms and conditions placed on their temporary entry to Canada, and depart at the end of their authorized stay, regardless of the outcome of their application for permanent residence.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

A recent study conducted by Tony Fang, a Canadian professor at the University of York in Vancouver, found that Canada needs to increase the number of immigrants coming to Canada in order to encourage investment in housing and to help boost the nation's economy.

Fang suggests that Canada needs an additional one million immigrants to better support the Canadian economy. Researchers in the study took into account a variety of factors, such as immigrants participation in the work force, immigrants spending on government services and infrastructure, and the amount of funds brought into Canada by immigrants.

Fang also noted that by bringing in more than 100,000 immigrants a year to Canada can help increase Canada's GDP by 2.3 percent. Also, by increasing Canada's population, a higher demand for goods and services, particularly housing, would result.

The study also concluded that higher levels of immigration could add $14 billion in tax revenue for the Canadian government.

This waiting game has to end.......
     Dear honourable minister,
My e-cas status for permanant resident under FSW1(NOC-3111) is showing recieved by newdelhi visa office pending review.
My application recieved by CIO on 5 may,2010 and i submitted my full  application and supporting documents on 7 october ,2010 to new delhi visa office.
I got acknowledgment letter  of reciept of my complete application package from newdelhi visa office dated 18 november,2010 along with reciept of payment for landing fees too.
New delhi visa office asked me to contact  them directly if i didnt hear anything in 3 months after submission of my  full application package  and secondthing they mentioned    processing time of 8 months to finalise myapplication.
I observed that many of my collaegues under same occupation list (specialist physician) who applied postjune2010 under ministerial instruction 2 got their medical and passport request  by newdelhi visa office earlier  than me though they have applied after me .
If canada is looking  fast immigration as per their job market needs then why so much differences in processing  of the clients with same occupation ?what is the rationale of  processing  the specialist physicians earlier whose files recieved by visa offices later then me ?
It means i should reapply again since  i am  also under new29 occupation list to get priority in processing of my application  but it will be a lot of hard work again for me.
I do understand that 1,44000 applications have to get yet decisions for permanant resident programme under FSW ,but i cant understand  why CIO  is accepting new applications if   there are  already a lot  of applications pending review under new canadian job market needs at newdelhi visa office?
Kindly help me in this regard and do the needful.
                                                               Thanking you.
                                                                Truely yours,
                                                                    sadika.

HI ALL ,I SENT THIS EMAIL TODAY TO MINISTER OF IMMIGRATION,CANADA.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) estimates that they will welcome between 240,000 and 265,000 new permanent residents in 2011. 60 percent of these are expected to be immigrants who arrive in Canada on skilled immigration visas..little less than year 2010.

"Canada's post-recession economy demands a high level of legal immigration to keep our work force strong," said Immigration Minister Jason Kenney.

While a greater portion of immigration into Canada is expected to be via economic immigration streams, Kenney noted that other immigration routes are important for Canada as well.

Canada Skilled Immigration – Only less than a month to go under current occupations list...

Plz express some thoughts!
