The Federal Skilled Worker visa is designed for individuals who have the qualifications, skills or experiences to fill Canada's skill shortages and contribute to the Canadian economy. Up to 80,400 Federal Skilled Worker Visas will be made available between 2011 and 2012.
Applicants to the Federal Skilled Worker visa demonstrate that they meet the minimum visa requirements including having work experience in a designated occupation, or a Canadian job offer. In addition, applicants must meet the pass mark on a points-based assessment. Successful applicants will obtain Canadian permanent residence, which will entitle them to live and work in Canada with few restrictions. Canadian permanent residents may also be eligible for Canadian citizenship.
BUT,
Processing times for federal skilled worker applications processed by visa offices outside Canada has been INCREASED..
NDVO from 11 to long 14 mnths.

Got a mail from Immigration Regional Program Center, 3000 HSBC Center, Buffalo, NY 14203
Saying that "application for permanent residence has been received at the Regional Programme Centre (RPC) and a file has been created for you....."
When I check E-Cast, there is no change. Not sure what could be the reason for this mail.. so far no 2nd AOR.... looks like Buffalo is not interested in sending 2nd AOR...
any comments

Hi,
Today I got my 2nd AOR in e-mail with this message
"Dear Applicant:
This is to advise you that your application for permanent residence has been received at the Regional Programme Centre (RPC) and that a file has been created for you. Your file number appears above. Quote this number when corresponding with our office."
So, I just want to make sure that is it called 2nd AOR?
Please Advice..
So, Please update the excel sheet..

Yeah..gud to have u too brother after such a long time. Any updates..? mine, nothing but 2nd AOR through email on APR 29 (Plz update in spreadsheet) , thats it none else !!! God bless us all. As they have extended their time-lines so totally unknown regarding gap till they issue MR. |

Dear sh_humayun,
Current time-line shows that London Office takes 16 months to finalize the cases. But this information has been revealed on the basis of last tree months statistics and these reflects the best case scenarios only. On an average, we should add 6/8 months with the given time frame.
