I have received AOR via email dated Oct.13. My DD was encashed on 26th of August (As quoted in AOR). I am sure time has arrived for all those VOs / applicants who are still awaiting AORs. Good luck everybody!!!

Hi All,

Please provide your expert advice on a  query:-

If i deposit $13,081 (necessary funds to show for me and my wife) today in bank account for a day and make a letter from bank that i had this much money in my a/c as on today. Would that be sufficient to show proof of funds (even though i submit my docs after 2 months) or i have to keep that money for more than a day?

Pls help

Thanks,
Anubhav

the above has been the practice of some and offers doubt to cic officers. Best option is to keep it for 3 months or more and provide the running bank statements accordingly.

good luck

does he have this 3-month time?

Anubhav, I would deposit money and take statement as at that date, no more no less.  the statement would  just show amount of money I have on account, not when it was opened, or for how long I kept it.  I would make it simple.  in the future if asked, you can send statements on each month showing you kept this or similar balance.

Guys,

I think May applicant's sheet is less confusing than ours, the background coloring is very adequate, plz check and share your opinion: https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0An8ufJRabzigdHo0M3U2VzJLNS1XWGNYQ2kwSlVmTHc&hl=en#gid=0

What is `UCI`?? AOR bears a number written under UCI as UCI:12345678 (an eight digit number). This is besides the application or file #.

I found this in google search:

Quote
Client ID is the sponsors Client Identification number. usually 8 digits. something like 1234-5678
You will also need the applicants Immigration File number this is usually a 9 digit number starting with the letter B. Something like B003456789

link: immigration.ca/discussion2/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=37355

it appears to stand for Unique Client Identifier (UCI) probably for data protection law compliance purposes.

thanks for the suggestion. well, we do have some other kinda analysis "per days". ppl well be able to see what is happening in that certain day, his/her application reached at CIO. u will got to be "used to" if u check it at least 2/3 times thoroughly. n another thg is... (which i dnt want to mention here).

The visa officers will want to satisfy themselves that this is your money and has not been borrowed. If you provide only a letter giving the total balance this may not (probably won't, in fact) satisfy them, and they may ask for at least 3 months statements.

Where are you getting this money from? If you're intending to borrow the money and pretend it belongs to you, then this is not allowed and you should expect to have your case refused. The ministerial instructions clearly state that the money must belong to you and cannot be borrowed, and I strongly suggest you don't try to lie to CHC.

If the money is genuinely yours and is from the sale of an asset or from another account, then you just need to prove the source of the funds. Send 3 months bank statements and then also show the source of the funds (receipts from sales or other account statements etc) to prove where the large deposit came from.
