Hi - My understanding is that once the payment (by whatever method) goes through, we can be positive of our application
passing through the first stage.  Is it right?  Or, is there any doubts even on that also.  I think that no payment will
go through if the intention is to return the application.  Can anyone clarify.

I had the same question earlier and one of the forum members told me that yes, it is possible and your application might be rejected even after encashment of cc/dd. I heard CC/DD is charged on the completeness of the application. An officer then check/verify the application whether there are enough points and job description matches with NOC code and other info are ok! If the the officer finds that it is not ok then your application is returned with explanation and a refund is made. That all I know but as you know these all are secondary information (i could not interview any CIO official)!

I am worried about this problem also, it is not acceptable but I cannot  control myself ! Roll Eyes

Btw jigzyy, can I please ask - you said you failed due to 0213 NOC duties. Can I ask did they charged your credit card/cash your banker's draft prior to failing/refusing your application?

Trying to understand if they assess NOC duties before or after they cash the money.

Hi ok thanks for the info.

This is interesting, because I would have thought they'd check the NOC duties at the eligibility review stage, rather than the completeness check. If his card was not charged this would indicate that they checked the NOC duties as part of the completeness check?

My understand is the CIC process is:

1) Completeness check
2) Charge card/cash draft
3) Eligibility review

And would this indicate that anyone who has had their card charged the NOC duties are ok?

Hi All,
Can somebody explain what does "DD" mean in the payment method? Actually, I have paid in cash tru the IOM (international migration organization). Is that "DD" ?

MY appl. rejected in my first try,one of problems that they mentioned to correct was my duties.

After 2 mounth I received back my app. on 4th of june,I completed  and sent it again ,received b CIO on 14th of june.

Thats right. they returned my money order aswell without encashment. My app. rejected exactly after 2 mounthes but in jigzzy case it was longer.
