Good morning all,

Can anyone advise me on how to go about the Police clearance. If I am in another country at the moment (i.e not in MY COUNTRY) and they do ask for the certificate, do I have to go back to my country to get it in person? or is there another ''option''. The same goes for the medicals

It's really sad that because of consultant's fault, deserving people need to suffer.....Jigzy should give a good beating to him/her....

One of my friend is in second stage of receiving AOR. His consultant sent him an email (which he recd from CIO) that now the timelines for pre June 25 applications have been changed. Now, to get 1st AOR, applicant has to wait for 6 months and to get 2nd AOR, timeline is 8 months. Previously, it's 3 months and 6 months respectively. Sad

if this is a true it is very sad.I am not sure that CIO realy can change its mind every month. If this is a true it's mean that the procedure will be like 2 years from begining until getting visa.Ca somebody confirm this info?

CIC website provides you clear details of how to obtain PCC from any country, I would suggest thats the best way. I am also in a different country (UK originally from India)  So, CIC suggested to get PCC from Indian High Comission, which worked very well, so it all depends on which country you are and how they handle the PCC's.

Good luck

Updates:
Rizwan72 Status updated - DD encashed on Sept 09. Congratulations Rizwan!!
God knows when they will work on AORs but, good luck in receiving that!

Thanks!
I will second Mr.Faisal that there is around ten weeks time frame  for 1st AOR after payment encashment. On CIC web site processing time for 80% FSW applications has risen from 9 months to 11 months. Due to Canadian economy re-cessation  unemployment rate has been risen from 6.4 to 7.9%. So new applications are being processed with extreme care. Also change in immigration laws has resulted slow processing due to time taken for implementation of new operational policies.
But which application is professionally prepared then it will succeed however long it may take time. Due to changes in laws I fear that overall time may rise to around 15 months for 80% FSW applications as there was a huge influx of FSW application before and after 26th June 2010.

Yes, it may take longer than expected. This slowdown is OK but, I wish they provide some information about how they are processing the AORs. Imagine how many people are calling them everyday to find out about AOR.
