Hello all

I am a May applicant who has not received his AOR yet. When I sent my documents to CIO I was single. I wonder what should I do if I get married. Should I reapply (my NOC has been removed) or I can send my wife's documents (as an update) as well as mine to the Visa Office.

Thank you in advanced for your help

Can Anyone tell me who got AOR and made payment though DD , DO we get DD Encashment notification on AOR , IS there any such case who did not know anything about DD Encashment before AOR, Please guide

Regards
Faisal
Faisal, the best way to confirm DD encashment is from the bank where you had that made. The bank is bound to facilitate you in this regard and will tell exactly whether its been encashed or still outstanding in their books. If the DD is outstanding, it will certainly be appearing in bank`s books and any officer will be able to check and tell you the fate. I am sure almost 90% of the banks will be having a database / system through which it may easily be known.
However, I have myself come accross a few cases where applicant(s) did not know the fate of their fee being paid or not till they got AORs.
Yes, the AOR also has a paragraph where it is acknowledged by the CIO that they have received fee payment and also there is an acknowledgement # to be quoted for any correspondence regarding fee payment when and where required.
I hope that clarifies.

 @  Faisal

What your DD was ecnashed?     26th August

and How do u cam to know of it ,

I made my DD from Dollar East. I went there with DD copy. and they told me about my DD within a week. If you have made DD via DE, go there. They would let you know.

Good Luck...

Hello mask2005,

please

1. update your forms,
2. include extra processing fee (CAD550 for your spouse),
3. prepare all docs as if she was with you on the date of application (education, birth certificates, etc.),
4. ensure funds are now enough for both of you (you needed to show bank statement or other for one, now for two -> value larger),
5. prepare your docs for phase 2 (police certificate, other, BUT do not now forget about your spouse),
6. WRITE A CLEAR COVER LETTER EXPLAINING THIS, when you submit all other docs

other members, please suggest how to write a letter explaining addition to his family, or if AT ALL he should supply docs why he did not include.  I now think that we should not show future spouses in our forms.

regards,
Coffee

Thank you Dear Coffee. So I think it is not necessary to send my wife's documents to CIO right?
I also can just add my wife's name as an update but saying that she will not accompany me. After I get my residency then I can apply for her. What do you think?

dear mask2005, you got your AOR from CIO and that is the end for initial review of the main applicant.  you are now into the visa office stage, i.e. background checks, another eligibility review, meds, security and other.

I would not recommend you do papers for your spouse at a later stage.  I would do it in one go, as things are moving.  you don't know what happens later, if extra quotas are introduced, backlog increases dramatically, etc.

so if I were you, I would prepare a cover letter, prepare entire application package and supporting docs for both of us, get  Grin visa again for both (uh, I wish this to you, myself and other members), complete landing formalities first myself, find a job, and then get my spouse to Canada BEFORE expiry of her visa (something like one year from the date of meds).

Wayne, others, what do you think?

hi Muqdad, did you already receive your AOR from CIO?  if yes, then you need to send a bank draft or money order.  I raised money order from Pony Express visa department for my friend.

if you just plan to apply, then you'd better hurry up before cap of 1,000 in this NOC is over, fill in credit card authorization form (you can find it with the complete package on CIC site), and wait.  an alternative, suggested and preferred by many other experienced members is to raise bank draft.
