If you do not have birth certificate then You may like to get this done through your local municipality. Again it may require one month...you have time now to initiate the process or keep the ground work ready

Apart from Transcript copies of education certificates, One should also start affidavit/notarized copy of Birth Certificates in English as well...
Most of Indians have their Birth certificates issued in respective Local regional languages, So Indians better start notary certified translated copy in English for your Birth Certificates.

Secondly about University Transcripts – My understanding of process for obtaining transcript is as below: a. We submit photocopy of original transcript b. University people verify and attest this copy of transcript and enclose it in university sealed and stamped envelope c. Handover this envelope back to us 3. When we use this word Transcript - it does not include Degree Certificate. Transcript is only Marks Sheet - please confirm if my understanding is correct 4. We need to organised transcript from University only for Graduation and Post Graduation ?? and not for intermediate/ 12th ? |

If you are too old ;-), you may have received a transcript for each year or semester. These days universities are giving consolidated transcript for the entire program. You can get and enclose this consolidated transcript in the envelope. Also, if you can't go, you can send your representative to get this done. |

Hi Raph4J,
Many people on this list are using Credit cards. In my case, the credit card was charged, and I was notified by SMS on Friday. I called the CC company and made sure that the card is charged. The on-line statement still doesn't show the charge. It may take few days for it to show.
So, You might want to wait for couple of days or check with your credit card company to see if your card has been charged.

hi jason, Sadika and atul, here we four have made DD for CIO payment...we need to wait a bit more to get encashed our DDs cuz money transfer through overseas banks always takes time as i gathered from my bank so have patience. i believe we all are safe....and will get positive response. first of all you are in the wrong thread bud.
you got to check it out in feb thread . may be you could find some one who could give you a better explanation
coming to your queries i am giving you my best possible answers
1. you will not fall under new category list.
2. you could hear from chc nd in couple of months, asking for more documents or some queries they might arise while your case being reviewed by VO. processing time at CHC ND is from 6-9 months

By the way, based on the list, other who applied earlier are still waiting for reply from CIO, while others who applied on a later date received a reply already. This bothers me, but I''m still positive.  |
