If you have any plans to go to India, get the PCC done from India as Regional passport office issues PCC in same day on contrast embassies takes 1 month Thanks SandySurrey.. for sharing. This will become a big big problem for me.... as my US Visa is lost and Indian Consulate ask for Notarized copy of US visa for PCC.  .. i dont understand why Indian consulate ask for US visa for Indian PCC .. where FBI doesnt ask for visa for issue of US criminal record/ US PCC.. |

Thanks SandySurrey.. for sharing. Did not understand what 'US visa is lost' means. I hope you mean that US Visa is expired. You can also send them copy of your petition (like, H1b I-797 or whatever VISA category you are on) as long as that is valid. I did not have the stamped visa and had send Indian Consulate copy of I-797 (petition) as a proof of legal residence. Also, If you want to get your PCC done from India, it might get tricky if you are seeking a PCC from a different Passport office that did not issue your passport. Also, you need to show proof of address and how long have you been living at the address etc etc. |
