If you take a look at the Application to Sponsor and Undertaking form, in the "For office use only" box, it has the following fields: PA ID no. [PA would stand for principal applicant]; Kit identifier; Receipt no. I think most people do use the forms directly off the site instead of ordering printed materials. Why would it say Kit? Did you guys maybe order the kits with the forms? just an assumption

It doesn't "affect it." Those numbers help you communicate with the VO in the event you contact them with an inquiry, or if you choose to order your CAIPS notes from the Privacy Act division of CIC. I got application number FXxXxXxXxX + UCI so I am wondering how this can affect our application from London VO???

Nice find. I'm a bit doubtful when Rinnerz says that Client ID is not used by the VOs at embassies just because they are offices outside Canada. Hmn, I don't know. From Rinnerz' post, it sounds like the Kit ID is the "common language" between CPC-M and the VO when they are talking about your file.

Thanks! That does explain stuff. Maybe as ddobro2 said, they might have changed the process because we recieved a UCI no. and File no. but no Kit no. Strange! :-/

And this is the message that was addressed to the sponsor and came from Case Processing Centre - Mississauga? Not the automated message email signed by New Delhi? Sorry, just wanted to make extra sure. Those weirdos are always changin' stuff up over there. Thanks! That does explain stuff. Yep, it was emailed to my husband, the sponsor, from this address CIC-Email-Communications-CPCM <CPCM-EXTCOM @ cic.gc.ca> It confirmed that my husband has met the sponsorship requirements and that the file has been forwarded to New Delhi.

Okay so my wife called cic about her being my sponsor, they gave her client Id number but still said a decision wasn't made and if she didn't hear anything in a month to call back. She can get on ecas with her id and it says app received June 8th an started processing July 19th. She said that I got an email from buffalo but they ignored it. So I'm pretty confused.

The email from Buffalo might be a glitch or something. The reason is that you quoted that email, signed by Buffalo and including your UCI and application number and recevied Aug. 26, as saying "we received your application June 8th." However, June 8th is when in fact CPC-M received your application and if, in e-CAS they only started processing July 19th and there is no "decision made" listed in e-CAS (on neither the sponsor's nor PA's log-ins).......well, I would take that as evidence that you were not yet fully processed by CPC-M. Buffalo clearly could not have received your application at the same time that Mississauga did.

That's true. I honestly don't know what's going on. Either there's a problem on Mississauga's end or on Buffalo's end. You might consider ordering GCMS notes to see what is really going on. Sorry to hear they were not helpful at the Call Centre. It really does depend on who you get on the phone. Then how would buffalo have my info and a file number for me if they havent even received my application?

kourts - Sorry that CIC is being so difficult for you. Just thought I'd let you know that the e-mail I received from Buffalo after my husband was approved to sponsor me was the same e-mail that you received and only said the date that it was received in Mississauga.

Glak1234 Thanks for the reply. it was exactly what I wanted to know i supposed i did everything similar except for the r/ship development was only an extra one pager from my husband (sponsor) and mine was enough in the form and we didnt include any school enrolment. Really happy for you and hope everyone else would have similar fast approvals! Cheers!

just curious if anyone else has had the sponsorship accepted, but then not heard from the outland VISA office in a long time? tomorrow its a month since my gf got accepted as a sponsor, but i haven't heard anything from London. the only update in e-cas is "medical results have been received". should i worry, or should i assume London has received my application?

That is normal for London, they do not issue AORs. Files are usually sent to the visa offices within 10-14 days after sponsor approval, so they likely have your file since last month. The next communication most London applicants receive is a request for their passport to issue the visa. Since your status is at Medical received, I wouldn't be surprised if that happened fairly soon for you.
